The Track and Field team has been an utter embarassment. I guess we can't win if we are not cheating by using performance enhancing drugs. I am guessing the team coach will take the fall for these Olympics.

Softball losing to Japan is somewhat embarassing seeing as how we beat them twice in this tournament and their pitcher had pitched in 3 straight games

I remember when I ran track the "sprinters" did 100 and 200. LD was 800 and above. 400 was for people being punished.

They talked about this on NPR today. Most of these guys are used to being the anchor for their relay (from high school and college), so they're not used to passing the baton. Also, different colleges have different ways of passing the baton.

the US T&F team is reminding me of the US Basketball team of the early 2000's - they were so used to dominating for so long, they all got too cocky (not that they weren't already) and self absorbed and didn't work together as a team.
