Yeah, I was LOLing at the guys on the radio who were talking about Staal battling off guys and pushing through the defense...he played better than he has been playing, and you can't argue with goals, but he was still getting manhandled on the way to the puck and was coasting back on defense.

In other news, Brandon Sutter is hockey Jesus. To effectively be the single forechecker on a PK, then to skate back and take the puck off of the breakout man from behind...holy hell. Glad to see *knock on wood* that he doesn't have Shane Willis Syndrome.

Also, WTF was Breezy doing on Whitney's goal? It looked like he didn't react to the pass at all.

i have a technical question...the past few games i havent been able to view online streams of the games. I used to be able to watch them on pretty much all of the links but now its not working. i also have a mac.....anyne know what the deal is?

My guess with Eaves is that it's his shoulder. He got smashed good in the second and he couldn't hold it up after it happened.

The only players I felt gave any total effort were LaRose, Ruutu and Bayda. Staal had better be hurt as a lot of times after he is knocked off his feet it takes him way too long to stand up.

I also think that it is time to fire Kevin McCarthy. The power play is awful and that's his responsibility. You can't have all of those chances and not score. He has survived for two long (he's a Maurice days coach) and he just needs to go. A new vision for the powerplay is necessary. This pass forever mode doesn't work and I think we need to have someone just come in there and let it rip, Ellis gave up too many rebounds for us to not have more than 2 goals, which none (I think) were on the powerplay. Unacceptable.

Also, I think the one thing this game did show that Shea Weber should be a Norris Trophy candidate for sure, he is well up there in points (I think he got his 10th goal) and he was pretty fun to watch in my opinion.

Hopefully this ship can be re-righted before our next game. Which the 'Canes need to bring back Helminen for as I think he's the best to bring back from what he showed.
