Can you guys get ESPN360 remote access to work? At home, being on AT&T, it works great. I set up remote access, come into work, and it says I need to turn on remote access. Supposedly they are going to air almost all of the World Cup games on ESPN360 this summer so I need to get this worked out before June.

Oh and FYI if you didn't know, you can access ESPN360 with U-verse

Does anyone on tryon road have this? I'm located near Lake Wheeler/Tryon. Every time I put my address in it says its not available but I'm thinking something is wrong with it?

^^ I got it to work. In fact, I had not set up remote access and I was n vacation during football season with no local coverage. I remoted to my home PC (using Live Mesh) and completed the ESPN360 Remote Access approval process.

Instructions:
"Customers of ESPN360's affiliated internet providers can see all the events on ESPN360.com from any high-speed connection using the Remote Access feature! While on your home connection, log into your ESPN.com account, then head to ESPN360.com and click on REMOTE ACCESS. You will be prompted to sync your ESPN.com account to activate the feature. Then, when you're away from home, just log into ESPN.com and you'll be able to see the 3,000+ yearly events on ESPN360.com! "

It's literally house to house. I live right off of Lineberry like 1/4 mile from Lake Wheeler. Half of our street can get it and half can't.

I can connect to a wireless network on U-Verse but I can't get it in my house. Gay as shit.

I called to see if I could get my speed put back to what it was with TWC (5mbps) since the sales rep told me that is what I was going to get........the rep replied that it was only $5 more but she cant add it due to the status of my account.

This was after I was transferred at least 6 or 7 times to get to that rep.

Not all airports are AT&T Wi-Fi ... although RDU is and as far as I know, all Starbucks still are. So that's something.

I didn't know about ESPN360, this is great news. Thanks! ... edit ... of course the quality still isn't quite up to watch in HD from my media center, ah well ... and more, the commercials pull the video player OUT of full screen, wtf is that about?

what is the best way to get ATT to come out and verify that you can get U-Verse. I used the address availability checker for my gf's house and it said unavailable. However, her neighbor to the right has it installed and the neighbor to the left shows that they are eligible. Called ATT and the front line moron said it was unavailable and that was that. I feel certain that if people on either side can get it than so can she. Any suggestions?

The sales rep signed me up for lesser service to make it look like a good deal. I never noticed until now, I figured out for $7 a month I could quadruple my speed.

Now I have 12mbps instead of 3mbps.

I was having this same problem- to fix my problem I logged into my espn account first(on espn.com), then clicked on the link to ESPN 360.

those last few speeds look ok to me. you know it's affected by TV use and local demand, right? also, speedtest.net seems to give me more varied/slower speeds compared to other testing websites. TWC's and SpeakEasy's speed tests seem to line up and show a higher speed.

I just did speedtest and it was around 9; right after that speakeasy said 11.5...

Just upgraded to 24/3 internet for the same price i was paying for 18/1.5

I also had to make sure they removed Setanta Sports ($15/month) because even though the channel went away as of 3/1/2010 from the line-up i was still getting billed for it.

i sent an email to uversecare@att.com and the guy from tier-2 manually changed my profile to the 32/5 and then changed my service plan to 24/3...

in reality i'm getting 21.8 Mbps down and 2.55 Mbps up

In general, has everyone been satisfied with the U-Verse service? My gf just got something in the mail (we're in Charlotte) and is interested in switching because she's tired of Time Warner.

The offer said something about $300 back and a $60 credit for electronic bill/paperless. Does this sound like their normal offering?

There is only one complaint I've had since we switched to U-Verse over a year ago. When we made the switch, we were eagerly awaiting Season 2 of Breaking Bad. Once we switched, we found out that AMC is the one channel that U-Verse doesn't have.

Now that I've got Netflix again, we can catch up on what we've missed, but it still really bugged me. I wonder if they have that channel yet....

I've been very happy with U-Verse. We get more channels and more on-demand for less money, and the cable box doesn't shit itself twice a day like TWC did.
