I've got a general question for some of the veterans... how often do they check the physical source? Like say they asked a question about a movie that I happen to have seen 100 times. If I put the answer in and just throw in a random citation to a random website about the movie, is that kosher?

Alternately, what if I couldn't find the exact answer to a question but found a bunch of info about a subject. If I were to just make something up for the answer and cite that page, what would happen?

^Usually when I know the answer, I google the answer and you will almost always find a good source as one of the top 3 hits.

For the second question, as long as it sounds like they are closer to their answer, ChaCha is happy.

manbearpig's advice: don't get burned out. its fun at first, and you make lots of money.. but if you do it alllll day for a day or two.. you'll totally get burned out after the first week. I take my time, make about 20-25 bucks a day, which is a nice 150-175 a week. Don't overdo it, but thats just me..

^^ To switch roles you need to send Feedback through the Knowledgebase. You would put your request under the subject about switching guide roles. However you can only switch when that position is open, so you have to submit feedback when the Generalist/Specialist role is hiring again.
