How was that an awful call?

Remember the old rule about the 3 yard circle? The rule is still there (basically) it is just applied as kick catch interference if you get to close to the receiver and he fumbles/misses/whatever not catches the kick. If you get right on top of the receiver but he catches it clean, no penalty.
