yeah, i was thinkin the same thing. there doesn't need to be a black outline at all. there's enough contrast between the white and the red for it to stand out. the name on the back looks really clean and classic then everything else looks out of place. if you're gonna pay homage to the past, do it right, stop fuckin it up and tryin to modernize everything. thank god the 3 wolf moon logo is gone.

Am I being trolled in this thread? This whole "State" vs "NC State" argument is the dumbest thing I've read all day. It doesn't matter one way or another in all honesty.

The country was aware who won bball championships in '74 and '83. The jerseys read STATE but we were still referred to as NC State on a national level. People here will use "State", the rest of the country will say "NC State", and it doesn't matter what is on the front of the jersey.

This is like saying that Michigan State has no national identity or South Carolina only puts CAROLINA on the front of their jerseys because they hope everyone mistakes them for UNC. "But which Carolina is it?!?" Are you guys fucking kidding me?

Also, if you "like" NC State Athletics on Facebook and receive their updates in your news feed, you'll notice many of the comments on the uniforms article they posted are of the same topic (State vs. NC State).

I guess it's just something a lot of people have an opinion about, one way or the other.

Actually, it seems to me that the South Carolina example is a perfect example for what will happen here.

At South Carolina, their jerseys say only "Carolina", and they might even refer to themselves as that. To everyone else they are quite simply South Carolina, or, possibly the Gamecocks (just like we will always be NC State and/or the Wolfpack).

I really like them. I'd love to see an alternate helmet with red and a white S or one of the older logo side/profile views of Tuffy. I'm still big on the idea of throwback jerseys, or at least throwback helmets with the non-block S or diamond S for one game a year.

My guess is the regular home jersey is red top white pants and regular road is white top red pants.
TOB said last year that with the way the season was going, he would let the team decide what they wanted to wear. That resulted in some of the all red home games. Just have to wait and see. I do expect the red/white combination for Liberty.

Apparently the all white at GT was a dig at GT. They were talking about it on the radio the other day with one of the GT players, I think it was on 620. I think it was because they wore that in our house the year before or something like that. They were joking that this year GT should come out in all red for our game.

I'd like to see some throwbacks to the late 80s. Diamond nSc and the jerseys with the stripes on the sleeves. I know there's no special reason to do ones from that era ("celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 1986 Peach Bowl!") but I still sorta like that logo.
