There's a fair ammount of nhl helmets that are total dog shit. The mission nme prototype frank kaberle had was a glorified broomball helmet.

Some guys wear real helmets, others don't.

Also, ccm has an update n the classic minimalist pads guys like chelios used to wear. They're being tested by 6 players right now. I have held them, theyre interesting. I think they may be implemented widerscale as the season goes on.

Vinyl, you should see the stealth rs protective line... everything that is wrong with protective equipment, IMO.

It's pretty sad that even after a 2 game win streak before the all star break...we'd almost have to win out to make the playoffs.

We should be tanking for the draft pick. Although I did make it to the Ottawa game and the game winner was pretty nice... otherwise though our offense looks pretty bad without Skynyrd.

3) Our playoff chances according to GGMon on Jan 4, 40.3% after a loss in OT to Florida

This year....
1) Jimmy fired PoMo and hired Kirk Muller
2) The Canes are 13 points out of 1st place in the SE, Florida has 43, the Canes 30
3) Our playoff chances according to GGMon are up this year.. but down 38.8% from last year

Next year.....
1) JR steps down and hands the reigns to Ron Francis
2) The Canes are 10 points out of first in their new division, Philadelphia has 42 points, the Canes 32
3) According to GGMon, our playoff chances are 20.9% after beating Washington

Those predictions are averages, and I assume the Canes are about to begin a 12 game point streak
