Does anyone else get sick of everyone being support with the giant guns with zoom and giant clips? Seem to be the COD types that just go for K/D and not much else

yah! SLI works again and digging my new cpu cooler to boot. Might throw in the 3rd 570 for triple SLI since that I now know that my pc only pulls about 550w at load in SLI.

Excellent, 6 hours in and triple SLI is stable. Get crazy sick frames now and my case looks so sexy with three beefy cards through the window. I get 120fps min now. heh

Finally got back to playing again last night. Unlocked the air-to-ground missile... and boy, what a disappointment. I'd really like to know the developer's rationale for taking bombs away from the aircraft.

naw, you can do it, two my friends who are much better pilots than I am do that shit all the time. Do "bombing" runs with the 30mm cannon as a gunner. Heh

^cause aircraft are already way overpowering. If they give jets bombs, then they better make all aircraft one hit kill with rockets then this bullshit disable, fly away, 15 seconds full health shit.

I would, but competitions play on normal settings. Can't be all comfy in hardcore like I was in BC2.

ok so sometimes i bitch about all the city and close combat but now I have the USAS-12 and G18 Silenced it is pretty fun especially at choke points. spray and pray with the 12 to kill and disorient/suppress the group then clean up with the 18 cant wait until i get the extended mag.

In the newegg wanfest and alienware comp. my clan will probably try to be more serious with joining leagues in the near future. We should maybe try to get some of the tdub ppl together in a 4man team for comps if your serious, but I haven't seen more than 2 of you fuckers online.

Try using AGMs with Beam Scanning, makes it a little more useful. I still prefer Rocket Pods though.

There's not much I didn't like about it! Titan mode was fun as hell. The mech tanks were awesome to use. The weapons in the game were so amazingly effective. (Floating vehicle chaser land mines? Hell yes. An anti-vehicle rifle? Hell yes. Automated sentry guns? Hell yes. And the squad leader Accipiter was just brilliant.) And the talent point trees were much better than just having to play to a level to get a particular gun/upgrade. The design aesthetic was fantastic from a sci-fi point of view. (Believe it or not, a couple of GI Joe figures from the last few years have actually had weapons cast directly from the game.) I'd say 2142 was probably my favorite Battlefield game thus far.

Quickest classes in which to earn points may depend upon the game mode you're playing. I tend to favor Rush mode, but still play a lot of Conquest. In Rush, if you're on offense, Assault class dedicated medics with a smoke grenade launcher are both extremely useful and underrated. Use the smoke to cover attacks on the MCOM stations, and then revive as much as safely possible to keep your team from needlessly losing tickets. Just please don't continue to revive someone if you know that they are in the line of fire. If you're on defense, make sure you have your medikit and are throwing it around everywhere you go. (I hate having to choose either the grenade launcher or the medikit.) I personally love the HK416 with a reflex sight and suppressor for this class.

On defense, I try to do everything possible as Engineer to prevent being tank rushed. I lay mines in sets of 2 in choke points where I know to expect vehicles. I usually go with the starting rocket launcher unless I KNOW that someone smart will have put down a SOFLAM for use with the Javelin. Weapon of choice with this class is the UMP with reflex sight and suppressor. It's not as ferocious as it was in BC2, but I still love it. I just unlocked the G35 last night, so I'm interested to see how they compare.

Support class may be one of the easiest classes to earn points because you simply throw ammo resupply boxes EVERYWHERE. If only people would do this more often, it'd improve teamwork exponentially. Also, Support class has the guns with the greatest ammo capacity, so they tend to get more bonus points for suppression fire. In conquest games, it's always fun to take a flag, drop C4 in fairly close proximity to it, and then wait for the enemy to try to retake it. Blow up the C4 and watch the hate messages appear. This is such an easy tactic that I don't know why more people don't do this. The M249 with holo sight, foregrip, and extended magazine/belt is far and away my favorite gun in the whole game so far.

I hate Recon. Flat out hate. My opinion. Only redeeming quality of the whole class is the SOFLAM, which I finally just unlocked. A well-placed (hidden) SOFLAM can set up an armor slaughter for Engineers IF you have cooperative teammates. Sniping is somewhat amusing when your team is WAY up on the other team, but aside from that, I feel like Recon has the least to contribute to winning or losing a game. With no C4, claymores, or mortar strikes anymore, Recon can't do dick to armor and they're not that great at anti-personnel. This is stupid if you're actually concerned with winning your round.

While I'm the weakest player on recon, I actually like it as an assault dude, use a g36c or usas-12 with motion detector in close range and you run pretty sick; specially on TDM or small rush maps.

I like rush and conquest the best and usually smaller man maps like 16-24 or crazy huge 64 man. I don't like squad deathmatch and I only play TDM to whore up some points.
