I defriended someone over their event invitations.

I think the charitable cause you work for is great and all, but that doesn't mean I need to go to some event several times a month just b/c we were classmates and are facebook friends.

Ask me for money, and we're good. Invite me to an event held at some out-of-the way, swanky, hard-to-find-parking joint, and ...why bother?

sometimes I catch myself saying "Way back in seventh grade, you learned that" not remembering that these people probably heard this shit for the first time in 10th grade, and didn't even learn it then

but I've learned that there are some really smart people who simply suck at math...which is a valuable and interesting thing to know
