ha, just randomly called my nearest Best Buy and asked. They guy said he had one left and would hold for me. I got there, got in line, the few people in front of me were told they were sold out. Got to me, asked for the one on hold, and i got it. haha i'm pretty sure thats not how its supposed to work.

Coming from a 3GS, this is really snappy, and the screen is sick. I asked Siri questions the whole way home and it works really well.

Just got mine. Somehow, the phone is linked to my wife's number (both on AT&T). Even with my SIM in her new 4s, it shows her phone number. She's out of town til tomorrow, so it looks like I'm just gonna have to wait.

AT&T didn't used to do shit like this with their phones...

Our company got our iPhones today...all coming from iPhone 4.

I like Siri. Once you set your work and home address. You tell her to give you reminders like "remind me to water the plants when I get home".

Ordered my wife the 4S online, I'll probably head to the Apple store or ATT some time next week to get one for me. Siri seems worth it, especially considering the eBay value of the 4.

Just activated the wife's new 4S on Sprint (bought using my upgrade) ... so it was programmed to think it was supposed to be my number. So I called Sprint and they told us to: Restore From iTunes with her information while they send a command to the phone. That worked flawlessly and just 20 minutes after the UPS truck arrived, she's now calling her friends and being excited about her new iPhone (after joining me on Sprint last May when she lost her iPhone 3G, sad day, that).

So, good marks to Sprint on a successful activation rollout. And as always, great customer service.

That's the regular voice-to-text feature for messaging or whatever. Think Siri is processed locally, otherwise it wouldn't be limited to the 4S.

I have been driving myself CRAZY for the past 4 days trying to pinpoint what the fuck has been happening to my network to make my download speeds periodically crap out. Everything will be fine, and then my downloads will drop to ~1/3rd the normal speed.

Finally figured out it was my iPhone/iPad uploading backups to iCloud.

That's how Apple does everything though. Access to the multitasking APIs, Access to Airplay APIS etc. Even apps themselves. They start off as 1st party only. Then they open up the APIs to 3rd parties.

Although, Not everyone thinks that Siri APIs are a foregone conclusion.

does anyone else's 4S have a fucking weird vibrate? Its loud as shit and sounds almost like something is rattling around inside. If you hold it while it vibrates it doesn't make this noise.

It's loud as shit and makes me jump when it goes off lol

for those that have upgraded to iOS 5, are your ringtones messed up if you had custom ringtones? my settings still show my ringtones set as they're supposed to be yet when people call it's the generic iphone ring.

i only use one song ringtone for one caller, i'm mostly referring to different stock ringtones for different callers. they're all ringing with the default tone.
