Went to the gym during lunch and did back and shoulders.

Then had spare time so I did some light bicep work (fuck you, gimp elbow).

Biked 14 miles after work.

^No, and neither do I.

We'll do some long walks when it's not so hot. The last time I tried to walk him in heat like this he laid down in the shade after two miles and refused to move. I ended up having to buy him a cup of water at Snoopy's ($0.22 on my credit card ) to get him home.

Today
4x12 machine flies
4x12 cable crossovers
4x12 dumbbell flies
3x24 machine tricep extensions
then I went on to pressdowns, but my gimp elbow wasn't having it
3x50 swiss ball crunches
3x12 sidebends with 45 lb plate
3x60 second flutter kicks
3x25 incline crunches
3x12 back extensions

then tonight I biked 20 miles in 80 minutes without keeling over from smoke inhalation

yea, the less i work out at ME, the stronger I become. I too felt like it was not enough, but I've continued going up in the past weeks. More rest, more food, you get stronger and bigger...but not thinner

also used a 5x2 bench/dl // 5x10 push ups/box jumps superset routine to hit some PRs

1.5 mile run on the treadmill faster pace than usual...still sucks.

30 pull ups...sets of 5-6...I suck at pull ups

^Stress release? I like to see the gains from week to week...well its month to month now.

I got bored with P90X and have now switched over to Bodyrock. Good stuff. HIIT in short bursts and I usually tag a 20 minute run afterwards. http://www.bodyrock.tv

I sweat more during one of their 15 minute sessions than I would after doing a full P90x workout.

Started my bicycle commute to work today (7mi one way). It was hot like I expected but I didn't realize it was 98ยบ out until I got here! Thankfully the humidity was only around 36% or else I would have been a puddle of slime by the time I got here. Let's see if I survive my first trip back tonight around 10:30.

And I am still doing p90x on a regular basis. Since I will be biking 70 miles a week I figured I'd cut back on some of the cardio workouts but ramp up the strength portions. And now that I am 99% transitioned back in Raleigh I can finally make my own meals again so that will help in getting back on my eating schedule/diet.

I managed to not buy anything at the amazing looking bakery I went to OR buy one of the cookies I completely love at the RBC Center. That was it for the day. Crossfit at 7 a.m. tomorrow. Yay.

biceps and triceps back to back
3x16 machine curls
3x16 triceps extension
3x16 cable curls
3x16 cable press downs
3x10 one armed preacher curls
3x16 one hand cable extension
then immediately went home and biked 15 miles
then immediately ran 2 miles, but it was a pretty slow run. as it turns out i didn't have much left in me.

So a total of a mile run this am broken up by the following

.2 mile lap
.2 mile lap side shuffle (switching sides half way through)
.2 mile lap with 5x 25 air squats
.2 mile lap with 5x 20 jump squats
.2 mile lap with half of that walking lunges
.2 mile lap with 5x 20 burpees

He had cones set up every so often so that we would run between cones then do the squats and burpees.

How do you guys juggle cardio and leg training? Cardio all week and save squats for Friday?

let's see if I can remember everything...

warm up
squats
V scissor kicks
scissor kicks laying down
leg raises
double crunches
this thing where you spread your legs as far as they can go then twist and touch your toes
spread legs as far as they can go, put your hands behind your head, then lean forward and sit up multiple times
side crunches (multiple ways/times)
single punches
triple punches
front snap kicks
roundhouse kicks
side kicks
inside crescent kick
outside crescent kick
did my form (basic form, moves 1-20) about 4 times
self defense steps 1-5 (multiple times)
front snap kicks on the bag (100 times)
22 push ups
cool down

then when I got home...

practiced self defense moves 1-5 again (for the opposite side)
bicep curls
overhead tricep extensions
4 other weight training moves (now I'm too lazy to finish writing them out)




I'm tired.
