do you understand what the word shy means?

He didn't get his own shot very often however he was very clutch late games which means he could create. He wasn't like a vasquez, durant, josh howard, or even tracy smith as far as offensive agressiveness which means he was shy. he got so much of his points off rebounds and moving without the ball.

^^^Are you still talking about Hodge?

I remember him getting a ton of points just by going to the basket hard and getting fouled.

He's legit. I mean, he just has the tools to make a difference on the floor and I believe that the most important parts of his game, court vision and ballhandling, will translate just fine to the college game. Sure, it will take him a little time to adjust to the college level speed and athleticism but I think he'll be starting before acc play begins. Just my two cents. Also, I've never noticed how much he likes to use that little runner/floater from 10-15 feet out.

Kenny Anderson is probably the best Harrow comparison you can make

Similar size, similar athleticism, both flashy, both can do some and1ish dribbling and passing in game against real talent... look him up on youtube and you'll see they're pretty damn similar

I only removed it because I wasn't sure if we were recruiting the guy. I knew I had read his name here, but didn't know if he was actually on our radar.

Looks great in the video, but he plays at Forsyth Country Day, and I'd imagine their competition is pretty weak. Might be another Trevor Ferguson situation.

We have offered Tyler Lewis.

^ FWIW he played well at the Dave Telep's Carolina Challenge and he plays on Chris Paul's CP3 All-Stars AAU team.

How is he not athletic? He's fast, quick, can stop on a dime, and has lots of energy.

Unless by "not athletic" you meant "white, not particularly strong, and doesn't have explosive rising capabilities".

who defends quick guards well? defense is more than just stopping speed; unless the gap in speed is overwhelming. i know this is an example that has been used a lot, but atsur wasn't particular quick and he did really well here because he had great fundamentals. hell, just look at that guy from byu this year. he was slow as molasses but he knew how to put the ball in the basket.

He looks great already and he's only a sophomore, going into his junior year this upcoming fall. If he keeps progressing, he'll be very skilled, and a great backup to Ryan if he stays that long.

wright state has had some good teams in the past and plays in a competitive conference. being closer to home and a chance to start over might do wonders for him.

Thanks for reminding me of him. Weirdest looking player after Sam Cassell.

I mean, it's not a bad thing. He did a good job at Cincy, getting them to the Final Four in '92.

Quote :
"Q. WHICH BIG SIX COACH IS ON THE HOTTEST SEAT GOING INTO NEXT SEASON?

Sidney Lowe will likely be shown the door unless he has a good season at N.C. State.
David Fox: The past four seasons have shown just how little N.C. State thought of Herb Sendek, haven't they? The Wolfpack went to the NCAA tournament in each of Sendek's last five seasons. Since then, Sidney Lowe has led North Carolina State to two NIT appearances in four years. With the nation's fifth-ranked recruiting class, this may be the make-or-break year for Lowe, who has yet to win more than six ACC games in a season.

Mike Huguenin: I'm surprised Sidney Lowe still is coach at N.C. State, so I think he is on the hottest seat of all. NCSU officials ran off Herb Sendek even though Sendek's team was a regular NCAA visitor. His offense was seen as too boring. Well, Lowe's certainly hasn't been scintillating, either, and he has just two NIT trips in four seasons to show for it. Lowe and his staff reeled in a big-time recruiting class, and if the Wolfpack don't make the 2011 NCAA tourney, there will be a new coach overseeing all that talent next year at this time.

Jason King: Nebraska coach Doc Sadler is one of the nicest guys in college sports and is an excellent Xs and Os coach. But his inability to recruit Big 12-caliber talent to Lincoln has put his job in jeopardy.

Steve Megargee: North Carolina State reached the NCAA tournament in each of Herb Sendek's last five years on the job and hasn't been back since. That's bad news for Sidney Lowe, who is heading into his fifth season since taking over for Sendek, now the coach at Arizona State. The Wolfpack have gone a combined 20-44 in ACC competition and have never finished higher than ninth in the conference during Lowe's tenure. Lowe has kept his job at least in part because of an incoming recruiting class that ranks fifth in the nation. North Carolina State's freshman class next season includes 6-foot-7 forward C.J. Leslie (the No. 14 prospect in the nation), 6-0 guard Ryan Harrow (No. 19) and 6-4 guard Lorenzo Brown (No. 37) next season. If the Wolfpack fail to show significant progress after bringing in three of the nation's top 37 recruits, Wolfpack officials may decide it's time to move on. "

I guess he probably wouldn't get a lot of PT behind Leslie, Wood, Brown, Thomas, Williams, and possibly Mabry or another sf. But I hate that, he'd be a great upper-classmen spark off the bench, and he seemed like a stand-up guy. I hate to see him go.

Oh well, hopefully wherever he lands he'll make us proud.

I always assumed that Davis got the scholly because we had one to give and it would give him enough exposure to transfer to another school where he could contribute more.

Kid played hard, I hope things work out for him wherever he lands.
