Ponson hasn't looked too bad in his 3 starts.
He is 2-0 with an ERA under 4.00. Cannot ask much more out of a 5th starter.
Suppan better get his ass in gear or Reyes should get a shot. 4/23/2006 12:45:53 AM |

if the cardinals don't win it all this year
then you guys should hire scoody doo and the gang
they can corner larussa in the locker room and pull of his mask
because it would have to be bobby cox managing for a team that good to not win a world series
IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU MEDDLING KIDS

Well after we got swept by the Cubs in the second series of the season I got a little worried. I'm over it now.
and Ernie, I think the problem the last two seasons was
1). Peaking too early. We had the season wrapped up right after the allstar break last year, and about a month early two years ago.
2). Scott Rolen...dnp last year and was coming off injury late in the season two years ago, and he had a cold bat.
Pitching hasnt helped, but I think it had a lot to do with peaking too early, because we by far have as good of a team as anyone, but sometimes its all about timing.
