meh. batteries ran out, but i was able to catch these two at work before it died.

much better pics to come!

oh, here's some from my cousin's hs graduation. forgot to charge the batteries prior to that occasion too...so only snapped a couple.

this one came out weird. i guess i should've adjusted the white balance.

^^what did you do to that picture...

stuff seems out of focus that shouldn't be... like the top of the hat and such.

yeah...focus was all weird and did a lil photochopping. blur tool wasn't done precisely, but I had to get it on the web within 15 mins of taking it, so i did it really fast. i guess i'll get around to fixing it later.

"i´vé béén taking somé night shots off of my friend´s apartment building rooftop here in buenos aires, but somehow i feel like the mirror is causing the extra long exposures to become blurry, because the camera is stationary on the building... is that super common? i dont have experience with "locking up" the mirror. thanks!"

Mirror lockup isn't t anything extremely technical. If you camera is like my 10D, you just have to activate it in a menu, then hit the button twice, preferably with an electronic trigger. The first time you press the shutter button the mirror goes up. Then it takes the pic when you press it again. You can get a cheap wired remote on eBay for the digital EOS line for like $15.

Hey, I'm really liking the photos and all the links. Here are a few of mine. I bought a Rebel XT a few weeks ago and picked up a Canon 70-200 f/4L. I shoot mostly BMX but I threw in a few 'artsy' pics.

Let me know what you think.

that first image was just the back door open while it was raining. some water just kinda splashed off the top and started rolling down.

I dunno how to make this not so yellow - it might have been kickass otherwise.
This was one shot with the "cloudy" setting, but other photos shot with the flourescent and flourescent H came out similarly colored. It was at the entrance to a parking deck.

photoshop, levels, click middle eyedropper, click neutral colored concrete, done. but I did do a mid-point exposure correction after that.

^^^I do adore.

Still working on getting photoshop. For the time being, there's no processing going on

If I have shots that are important enough, I'll go to the DML, but for still learning the camera...yeah

Thank you all for all the help

you could try getting GIMP. it's got a lot of the same functionality as photoshop, but it's completely free.

Just ordered that Sigma 18-200mm...I'm pretty excited to finally get this Rebel Ti kit lens off my camera

now all that's left is to find a reasonably priced UV and Cir-P filter
