first of all battlestar has to address it, they are all alone, no people living planetside, no starbases. Even if enterprise didn't have replicators you didn't really have to say that they stopped to get some. and matter to energy (and vise-versa) conversion is a highly respected scientific theory (big bang)

Sci-Fi has told the producers they have at least 13 episodes. If Sci-Fi extends that, the final episode are to be devoted to wrapping up the series.

The people in BSG hate computers, because it resulted in the cylons. They try to stay away from things that are too computery.

I don't think the refinery process scenes were too farfetched though. We only saw a tiny fragment of the process, who knows what goes on before it hits the belt thing.

Decent episode...better than the filler crap we've had for the past few eps.

But those of you who think this show is still delivering at a high level like the previous seasons are delusional.

BTW, what happened to the main plot? You know, the one where the humans are running from the Cylons toward a possibly fictional earth?

The show is now about love triangles, class warfare, war criminals, and vicious machines who are conveniently fallible -- not humanity facing extinction. It's still just as good, though, I promise!!! Even if it is filler designed to meet episode quotas.

The writer has mentioned several times in the podcasts that he may have fucked up by revealing what the cylons are like.

Everyone refers back to the episode "33", where the cylons kept attacking every 33 min in episode 1 of season 1.

Faceless hunters of the humans, now revealed to be squabling panzies.

Takes the edge off of the entire threat.
