$15 to hear some dude mix together and sample the material of other folks. Yeah, I think I'll pass on that one. That and I'm not big on male nudity.

Oh, is anyone else going to Fleet Foxes on Sunday?

Thief Thief is playing in greenville tomorrow night if anyone is going to be in greenville

they seem like a pretty cool instrumental band, they remind me of battles a little, except less weird

You Need New Glasses will be there too, along with a punk band and a hardcore band.

i vote nostalgic. because i'm right there with ya. and i am many things, but pathetic is not one of them (orrr maybe it is). either way i am probably going to want to go to this even though tickets will be like 40 bucks. and its the day before i start school. and its not even necessary. and its in memorial auditorium. and it may or may not be pathetic.

i mean, the show at the orange peel was simultaneously fun and lame

the show i saw at ovens on the adore tour was excellent

and this venue is similar, but the new record sucks, and adore does not

*sigh*

re: smashing pumpkins,

I really, really enjoyed the Greensboro show last year, where the sound wasn't so hot and the crowd wasn't so great.

I think you'll get in what you put out as far as adjusting that sliding scale of expectations.

But will go again after going last year. Totally worth it.

Same exact way I feel --- I don't know if I can justify dropping $45 on the Pumpkins when I saw that awesome show at Ovens back in (jeez, was it '98 or something), and then two shows at the residency last year. Especially with there being so many good bands coming around this fall and the prospect of them playing mostly shit from their horrendous "new" album.

Someone earlier listed it being in Memorial as a "bad" thing.... I've enjoyed every show I've ever seen in Meymandi or Memorial. Christ, the sound anywhere is better than the Cradle.

Don't get me wrong, the Cradle holds a special place in my heart, but the sound system in that place sucks complete asshole these days.
