I really don't get the Yankees comparison. If anything, the Spurs are the anti-Yankees.

While the Yankees are an overpaid and overhyped bunch of self-centered stars, the Spurs selflessly play as a team and make the most of what they have. The Yankees are media darlings, while the Spurs just win while being overlooked. Tim Duncan is everything that Jeter and ARod are not.

the spurs have some of the best passing sequences of any team ever

there really isnt anything they don't do at least above average if not exceptional


part of the reason people are hating on the spurs so much is b/c they knocked out their golden boy nash. the white people miss having a white champion. its been a long time since bird.

^ya it is like the yankees/patriots comparison when NFL has a salary cap

nobody in another sports league are THE YANKEES of that sports league b/c they don't spend absurd amounts of money like the yankees

Well the Spurs hands are tied this offseason unless they wanna use a MLE up to $5.5 million...

But after next year everyone comes off the books sans Duncan, Parker, Ginobili


So if Phoenix doesn't blow shit up by trading Marion they should be able to beat the Spurs next year.

But it might be a one year window with Nash aging and Phoenix anxious to decrease their payroll. If the Spurs infused some new younger talent around the big three they might have another 1-2 championships in them

I think the people who are upset about that series are more upset about the conditions in which the series was won than they are about them winning.

i think parker is the frontrunner, but duncan still has an argument

they both had spectacular games in 1 and 2, both sucked in 3

parker has been a great scorer tonight but kinda fell off in the 4th quarter. duncan has been bad on offense but has gotten some clutch rebounds and defensive plays in the 4th
