ive changed defenders during throws for years, and you pretty much have to if you want to beat the really good people online(as well as switching to the receiver to user catch on certain passes). but this year the feel for me is different and i cant seem to get it right.

i finally switched up to Heisman from AA...still havent lost (only played 2 games) but definitely a better challenge

yeah i'm not really having a lot of turnover issues, but holes close faster and i'm not able to gain as many yards...definitely have to nickel and dime the computer to some extent

probably...i dont really get big leads anymore on heisman

but instead of beating cupcakes by 40 and good opponents by 10, i'm beating cupcakes by 14 and fighting to beat good opponents by 3-7

thats good that you have a challenge again. i have to find some sort of slider setting to get a challenge now on heisman, so im finishing up my 4th season on my oregon dynasty cause i have a few games left, and then im gonna try and mess around in some exhibition games to get a good AI setting to have close games.

yeah but my main challenge is still to finish my superstar scrambling QB's career to import him into madden, get a few more achievements, and send it back to gamefly

panthers with a vick-like qb with accuracy are gonna be nasty in madden!

Haha, don't know if this glitch has been mentioned before, but I just ran into it, haha.

BC just got it's 5th delay of game in a row, haha. It's the first play of the 2nd quarter and they just refuse to snap it, haha, guess I'll have to go offsides or something.

That glitch has happened to me. However, I was playing against Miami. No one would snap the ball.

^^^ Yeah I had to sim all my defense that game, I shut them out that way but it took away from the game.

^^Yeah I'm bad about doing that, my QB will be inches from the ground and get off a pitch. I've actually done it with a DB to another DB for a TD like that, saved that one because my first DB was actually on the ground and pitched it, haha.

It increases QB accuracy if you are looking where the reciever is. Also, it may tip off CBs to where you are throwing?

I'm still playing my State dynasty on NCAA 08 and loving it. It's just now starting to get a little stale.

yeah, and the higher the QB's awareness is, the bigger the vision cone is. It's supposed to help more with passing. I have enough problems trying to keep from getting sacked so I don't even mess with it.

And I finally got the rosters transferred. $20 and an externally powered usb hub later, the xport works fine. A lot of player ratings, equipment and depth chart changes have been made to many of the teams. Some players are missing from the nc state roster so I don't guess they did much work to them. If anyone wants the rosters, let me know. I can put them on a hard drive or memory card.

yea some of my friends bought it for their ps3 this week, so we started a dynasty. so of course i've been over at their apartment every day. and i've never extensively played with a ps controller before so i'm still getting used to it. so when freaking light rays start shooting out of the qb's face it throws me off a little more. but yeah, like all its predecessors, i love this game.

man...roughing the passer is called alot on this game....

i got roughing the passer called on me after i intercepted a pass...i went and watched the replay and the LB just blocked the QB...

and i have had obvious Pass interference calls missed...im talking...guy is coming back on a curl and the corner stops him and i get an incomplete pass

and yea,,,it was a good game....i missed it as i was stuck on the ship...but from what i saw of the highlights, it was a good game...i wish we could have blown them out and played a lil better in the secondary, but o well...a win is a win...Southern Miss this week, so that should be good as always.

im trying to get tickets to the ECU/State game on the 20th as that will be my last week in the states before i go over there. but its sold out....sad

i block over 50% of kicks

i've had a few facemask calls, the roughing the passer isn't as bad as it was at first

i've had it called on a few running plays though

i dont think i've had a facemask call in NCAA or Madden (with default sliders)

and that includes plays where it appears like the defender clearly grabs their face mask and almost yanks them into a 360 spin into the ground

I just line up in all out punt block. Shift my line to the left and then run my punt returner up to the other side of the line. Blocked 1 or 2 field goals and came close to a punt. I miss ncaa 07 for ps2 where you could reverse the view and look from the defensive side, much easier to block something that way.

season 2 with duke (went 7-4 season 1) and i'm hosting west vriginia week 2 and had corner guy return 2 fumbles for td. i was down 3 with 2 minutes left when pat whit hit the fb in the shoulder on an option and the ball went about 300 feet into the air before landing just inbounds about 50 yards back scoop and score.

i've never blocked a punt but i seriously block more than half of all placekicks

i don't do anything special, just line up in the field goal block formation

i usually select the player on the left end of the line and try to make it around the corner

it seems like the AI defenders on the edge are too stupid to block everyone, so if i don't make it to the kicker then one of my other guys will

it was pretty cool at first but now it's just dumb

I've blocked punts and FG's, just not consistently or anything.

Don't really need to block FG's, the CPU misses a lot of FG's, a lot of them hit the bars too, haha.

WTF... I love to pass to my FB much more than I like to throw to him. So in dynasty mode I've been playing WR's and HB's at the position. The only thing is the game forces you to keep two FB's on the roster. So I've moved HB's and WR's to the position and every time their speed drops from the mid 90's to the mid 70's... what in the goddamn fuck?!?!? So all I can figure out is to change the starting position on the depth chart to the WR's and HB's but that shit is taking up two slots on the roster that are worthless to me.

Does anyone else also miss being able to set formation subs?

Haha ^^ I've set my impact RB to my starting QB and ran something similar to Arkansas before. Use him and my 2nd best RB and run the option. It's the closest thing I can get to a direct snap I miss from previous games. But don't try to pass it with a RB, it's almost guaranteed to be a pick, haha.

b/c of my offense I always seem to end up stacked at HB (recruit them well, with mixed success at FB), so I usually end up moving a bigger/slower backup running back to FB. I noticed the big speed drop on moving a HB to FB when they are incoming freshmen, but not after they have been in the program. Maybe you should move them after their freshman season. Also after you switch them to FB they tend to bulk up significantly in the offseason without losing speed.
