I have the sickest, youngest, keeper league roster:
Peyton Manning (Franchise him every year) Willie Parker (Free agent next year) Willis Mcgahee (two years left on his contract) Adrian Peterson (signed him to a 4 year deal) Marshawn Lynch (sighned him to a 4 year deal) Reggie Wayne (two years left) Marques Colston (1 year left) Todd Heap (2 years left)
Had to gloat. Should compete for the championship for the next half decade... 9/14/2007 1:44:10 PM |

I have both McNabb and Romo.
I got burned last week by playing McNabb and I am currently going with Romo for this week at the Fins. But I dont want to miss out on McNabbs resurgence at home against the Skins....
Panthro, any intuitive suggestions to help my decision? 9/14/2007 3:11:16 PM |

i say go with mcnabb off week last week
Don’t forget, the Dolphins’ D boasts a bevy of Pro Bowlers: Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas and Joey Porter, to name a few. And although they gave up some rushing yards in last week’s 16-13 overtime loss at Washington, the Dolphins shut down the pass. In fact, if you take out a lucky 54-yard Hail Mary throw at the end of regulation, you’ll see that Redskins QB Jason Campbell went 11-for-20 for 168 yards with two interceptions.
Romo’s in for a bit of a wake-up call here.

flex: brandon jackson vs. the giants (morency is out, jackson gets more carrries) OR wes welker vs. chargers (maybe more focused on moss, therefore welker opens up?)
and no points for return yards in my league. which one at the flex? 9/14/2007 5:51:36 PM |

^^ I couldn't disagree more.
Yes, minus the hailmary at the end of the game, those would have been Campbell's stats, but let's not forget the stark contrast between Dallas' offense and Washington's. Miami has a great front 7 with Taylor, Porter and Thomas...but their secondary is easily one of the worst in the league. T.O, Romo and company will have a field day in this game, especially in the first half. I think that the Cowboys will open up by throwing the ball, then finish them off with MB3 and JJ. This game could potentially be a shootout with all of the injuries in Dallas' Defense, especially their secondary. In a shootout, I'll take Romo with 275yds, 2 TD's, and INT and 30 yards rushing.
Conversely, Washington's "grind it out" philosophy will try to keep the ball out of the Eagles possesion as much as possible. Those hogs were built to run block, and with a healthy Portis and Betts, I dont think that + the shaky looking Philly offense will equal big numbers for McNabb. He simply wont have enough chances. I see Donovan having 230yds, 1 TD's, 2 INT's, 11 yards rushing.
Neither are terrible options, but I would start Romo. How can you not after throwing 4 TD's, running for 1, and thowing for 300+ last week?

pick 2:
Deion Branch @ Arizona Darrell Jackson @ StL Devin Hester vs. KC
we allow for return yards/TDs in my league, and the Bears have said that they are going to try to get the ball in Hester's hands more on offense.

pick 2:
stallworth v SD D ward vs GB crayton vs miami mason v nyj dunn v jac
I wonder about stallworth. Ward looked good last week, and even though GB has a good defense, I can still see ward rushing for a TD. 9/15/2007 12:29:04 PM |

above, I'd go with Crayton as the WR, unless you're 100% confident Stallworth's week 1 was a fluke.

Starting
Betts vs Phi Galloway vs NO Winslow vs Cin
bench
T. Jones vs Bal M. Furrey vs Min J. Whitten vs Mia
Should I make any changes or keep the starters as they are. Furrey is pretty much a no go, but not sure if I should gamble on Jones at the flex position instead of Galloway. 9/15/2007 4:41:41 PM |

I just posted in my league that I was looking for a WR trade as I drafted too many players that have a bye in week 6. I just got a trade offer for Roy Williams for Bernard Berrian and Marty Booker.
I have to play 3 WRs and my WRs and byes Andre Johnson 10 Roy Williams 6 S Holmes 6 Backups A Gonzalez 6 D Williams 8 S McDonald 6
I am tempted on this trade as Berrian could have very good stats and Booker has a chance to be a decent backup. Should I not do the trade and just keep my team and grind it out on week 6 and maybe take a loss but will have a good team the rest of the season or do I make the trade or counter? The team offering has Calvin Johnson and in some ways I think he is screwing himself if I make this trade. 9/15/2007 4:41:52 PM |

^ never trade one great player for two good players. Having one week without two of your stud WRs is not a big deal. See if he'll take a deal for two of your lesser WRs for Berrian. 9/15/2007 7:10:51 PM |

Hasselbeck or the golden jew
QUICK. if id played the jew last week i would have had 20 some points from him, instead i got like 12 from HASSELBEX. then again he had no one to throw to, like at all
then again if no one answers i'll just leave it the same cause i won last week anyways. my team is BRILLIANT, its so good i still have room to represent ncsu pretty well

Galloway is the easy choice, he will get behind the Saints DB's
It's hard to bench Burress after last week, but I'd probably lean toward Chambers since it looks like Newman won't play for Dallas again this week. 9/16/2007 10:43:42 AM |

Randle El vs PHI, M. Booker vs DAL, or Branch vs ARI

Hold your horses, haha, here's some advice:
Go with Big Ben. That offense has been opened up some, and he played with a high-level of confidence last week and I look for that to continue with good balance with Willie Parker.
Plus the Rams O is gonna suffer some from losing Pace and San Fran's defense will look to put pressure on Bulger all game.(see: Patrick Willis and Manny Lawson) Plus their DB's aren't bad, Clement is a pro-bowler and Walt Harris is sufficient.
WR: Look for Washington to run first with their 2 RB's. Don't forget that despite Randle El's performance last week, Santana Moss is still the #1 guy and they'll probably look to get Cooley more involved than they did last week. The Eagle DB's are pretty good despite some injuries, so I'd stay away from Randle El.
I like the Booker match-up. Last week Dallas got torched through the air, and despite Chambers taking catches away, I think there is room for Booker to get some good looks, maybe even a TD.
I've learned one thing from owning Deion Branch...he's a terrible fantasy WR. He'll have one big game a season, maybe two, but other than that it's 2-3 points every week. The Arizona D didn't look bad last week and Adrian Wilson is a beast in the secondary, so look for him to spy a little on Branch if he's not blitzing Hasselback.
Hope that helps. 9/16/2007 11:44:28 AM |

^^^^I'd be hesitant on Eli, the Packer D is solid and he's not at 100%. Plus the running game is going to lag a little bit with the loss of Jacobs and Ward moving into the starting spot.
^^I'd just sit on it. I know I always talk trash about Branch on here, but he's a #1 WR and has the POTENTIAL to have big weeks. I like him over those other 2 guys.
^Oh definitely go with Taylor against the Falcons. Miami's front 7 is one of the best in the league and I expect them to try to shut down the run. Plus the Falcon's D hasn't shown the ability to stop anything. Taylor will split carries but so will Jones, so go with Fred this week.
