How long is the turnaround for replacement hardware? I was going to send back the drums, but also have a party coming up on the 4th of July, and wanted to be sure they were here for that.

just do express return...they put a $125 hold on your credit card, air mail you new ones, you send back the old ones (its all paid for by them), and then when they get them, theyll drop the hold on your cc....

Do they test the units when they get them back? I mean, I'm using the "my drumpads don't work" option, but they do work, it's just the red pad will have several misses when I know I'm hitting it

ugh, ggaht can die. I plowed through all songs on expert guitar with little trouble and now have this one left. Seems like that is the common pattern for me on GH/RB games...freebird, play with me (gh 80s), ggaht, One. The only game that I have been able to finish is GH1 after about 20 tries on cowboys from hell.

i've never played this but own guitar hero 3

how is it different? is it still a fun game to get if you are going to be playing 1-player a lot?

are there difficulty levels? can you play guitar by yourself, drum by yourself, etc...???

yes its still fun to play by yourself. You can do a solo tour with each instrument, save the bass guitar.

i still can't figure out what the switch on the guitar is for.

it is a 5-way switch you pull up and down and it says things like "none, slapback, chorus, etc.."

what is this for? the manual doesn't even say anything about it.

It's for when you are doing a solo. The different selections sound different.

^not the solos, its for when you're in Overdrive mode (when everything's glowing and you're getting multiplier bonuses). It makes your guitar sound different. I like the "chorus" setting!
