heres something to make me excited.

I just found out that there are 4 or 5 directors for this show and they take turns directing episodes. Well the guy that directed the season 3 finale, season 4 premiere and the desmond time travel episode directed the show that will air on the 24th so it should be fire.

There is a skipped week between the 2 parts (due to the Grey's finale I think.)

ok, well we now know Ben knows exactly what the smoke monster is, and probably helped create it or at least can control it. (Earlier this season or last when asked what Smokey was he said he didn't know)

when i think about Alex's death, the thing that strikes me as "off" about it is that Ben would not make a stupid mistake like that. He's too careful..... he would know that the commander guy would know that Alex is really important to him and he would never fall for the "she's just a pawn, i don't care about her" trick.

Not so. If you'll notice he says repeatedly "you changed the rules". I'm not sure exactly what that means, but something to do with not killing family members or something.
