Peter, I know that sometimes when friends have used ChaCha, those are text messages that say "Hey, we got your text message, here's some ads because this is a free service, we'll get to you soon" It seems you got two of them, or the first one was "we got it", and the second one some expeditor screwed up or something...

^^Yeah I know about the 'we received your message' thing. It just pissed me off that the expeditor did that...its pretty hard to expedite a crystal ball like that accidentally.

Plus the rest of the responses were pretty shitty in my opinion.

^ report them. seriously. I never have a problem giving a "bad" rating to past guides when their questions are down right garbage

but on the contrary, I ALWAYS give a "WOW" rating when a previous guide gives an answer that helps me give my answer. (i.e. on a "more" question)

^ I want to say there is a way you can report it on the website too, as long as you have the approximate time of the text and the question/answer you received. But I can't seen to find it anywhere on chacha.com

But maybe I am wrong. I searched the site and found this:

I've had it happen before too. I texted back and said "thank you. i'm a guide, i know how it works, can you please rate the past 2 answers BAD b/c I texted the same question 3 times and they didnt answer it at all"

the guide texted back, "okay i rated those bad. have a good day fellow guide"

probably because ChaCha is a free service so they don't have a budget for advertising. They rely mostly on word of mouth. Since KGB is a pay service, they probably have more advertising dollars to play with.

I have actually been keeping track... I've answered 105 since 3pm today... I was originally going for the 200 by 1am, but some things came up and I had to stop for a few hours... so don't think I'll make it now. But maybe. I'll be ChaCha-ing until 1am so we'll see!
