i am desperate for help tomorrow morning with moving some furniture, i had my help cancel on me at the last minute! only one trailer's worth, no stairs, and we have things to roll them on down the hallways. can repay in beer or cash or food or whatever (like $20). shouldn't take more than an hour and we want to start at like 9am and be done as soon as possible.

I didn't see a buffet. Place is pretty small and really dark and they pipe in Chinese Enya Pure Moods music and it's awful.

Best Chinese I've had in Greensboro is Golden Apple in the shopping center on W. Market where everything is ethnic. It's in the same building as a Honduran restaurant. Tons of food, decently cheap.

I think One Wok on Guilford College is the place you are thinking of with the 4.99 buffet. I've never tried it before.

I did try the mega-super-ultra buffet on Big Tree back when it opened, but haven't been since. I wasn't overly impressed.

Gene's FTW. I miss that place--haven't found anywhere in Raleigh/Durham that truly compares. Plus it's quite nice to have a coke in a glass bottle (from a 1960's vintage coke machine) while you wait.

It's been mentioned in this thread before, I know. Not sure where in the 22 pages, but this isn't the first time. Page 16, it appears.

I always went there for haircuts from when I was too young to remember through when I graduated high school, then occasionally afterward, when I happened to be in town. I usually got my hair cut by Jimmy, but Frank is good people also. Not familiar with who is currently the third barber there.
