South Carolina takes care of #25 Vanderbilt, 20-14 in front of a packed house at Williams-Brice Stadium. The fans were excited to greet their team after last weeks win against Bama, and the Cocks did not disappoint.

Vanderbilt marched down the field early in the first quarter to lead to a 7-0 deficit for the Gamecocks at the end of the 1st. Coach Spurrier was worried when early in the 1st quarter his star halfback was lost for the game due to injury, "I was worried how it was going to affect our offense, he's just such an effective performer, we needed someone to step up for us." South Carolina came out firing on all cylinders in the 2nd quarter scoring 17 straight points. Garcia completed two long passes to Hills for 60 and 68 yards, the latter for a touchdown, the former setting up a Garcia to Giles, the replacement HB for another TD. A late interception by Vanderbilt setup a game narrowing TD. At the half the score was 17-14.

The second half was a snoozer. An interception early in the third by C. Whitlock setup the only points of the half, a 47 yard field goal for South Carolina. Vanderbilt proceeded to only have one more drive after the FG. Spurrier called on Giles repeatedly as the Gamecocks were able to whittle away the last 8:45 of the game on the ground.

"We played an excellent game today, Giles really came up big in Baker's absence, and we were able to avoid the post-win letdown. I'm really proud of this group of Cocks," coach Spurrier said after the game. Up next for South Carolina is a game against the stingy Tennessee defense at Neyland.

Got my recruiting done, picked up a couple commitments this week from a DT and a 6'7" QB. The Pack are getting ready to knock off FSU in Tallahassee. Hoping FSU beats UNC but loses a couple key players to injury.

Dynasty and EZ2Score: Both of you should make sure the relevant ports have open forwarding for your XBox, and try the full XBox live refresh as I described earlier and/or email EA (they were pretty responsive to my issue and made that suggestion). Basically turn your router off for 15 minutes and set your XBox Clock/Calendar back to November 15, 2005. That will make everything clean and refreshed when you reconnect. It sounds like BS, but worked when I couldn't get into the EA Servers but was fine on XBox Live.

I did what Markgoal said regarding resetting everything, so hopefully that will make a difference. And again, I've never had any online problems until this specific dynasty. I've played plenty of games online and never disconnected...is it only online dynasties that are having problems?

Hahaha, man, I tried the run the clock. It was 28-0 a couple seconds into the second quarter. And I ran the ball the ENTIRE game and chewed clock from the second quarter on. And at the end, when I was downing the ball, Dynasty was calling timeout just to get a few more plays in, which I can understand. So I ran some more, haha. And then, on the final kickoff, he fumbled, and I walked it in.
