they should really pull the seats out of the sideline student sections and they could fit in twice as many people. It would create more good student seating and make the atmosphere much better

the RBC will be the sweetest arena in the ACC if we ever start winning consistently

unc's atmosphere is pretty lousy compared to ncsu to be honest. students scattered all over the place. and the ones by the sidelines seem worn out because it's an all day affair to get a ticket and you are forced to stand there (no chairs) for a long time before the game begins.

^^^ it's not a NCAA regulation, it's an ACC regulation. case in point, I went to the Xavier @ Temple game Wednesday night and bought a Yuengling before the game started. the Liacouras Center is pretty nice, but doesn't compare to the RBC Center. it'd be a middle of the pack venue in the ACC. it's definitely nicer than Virginia Tech, Clemson, Miami, Georgia Tech and Boston College's arenas. i'd say it's almost on par with WF, except WF has more seats and a nicer jumbotron.

pretty sure it's a school policy... not ACC/NCAA. and you can get beer/wine before NCSU bball games... just has to be more than 30 min prior to tip-off and only on the club level.

I'm sure that would violate fire code or something. Better idea would be to get rid of the VIP section near the court and have only one sideline with a press row. Put students right on the edge of the court and then they'd have closer to 8-10 rows up close. Would be a much more intense atmosphere

Having only one sideline with a press row is something I think they should've done a while ago. Keep the SWPC behind the benches and keep the press over there, move anyone else to one of those tables on the baseline and move the other side of the student section closer to the court.

several of the boards are bolted down better than in the past. The boards near our usual seats make almost no noise when you kick them and you're likely to break a toe, lol

At least half the people sitting at press row aren't doing anything that seems of importance. Sometimes you see them barely paying attention and messing on their phones, etc. or there are empty spots if it's not Duke/UNC. It's a waste of great real estate. Students have it better at RBC than many arenas but it could still be improved

Yeah, I agree. They're all fun to watch, but CJ Williams is straight-up hilarious on the bench. He jumps up and down like a 5-year-old with this giant grin.

ha, yeah. and javi, too. even when he was playing like crap and went to the bench during the clemson game, he was going crazy on the sidelines. he likes to slap the floor with that towel lol. which i think says a lot about our upperclassmen's mindsets this year. that they can lead from the bench, even when they are playing terrible. we didn't see that the past couple of years.

lol during javi's big three with 4 minutes left, you can see harrow in the background. when he figures out javi's in trouble, he stands up. when he realizes javi has to shoot he puts his hands up in the air signaling "the three's good!". then when javis actually shoots the three, harrow's like "oh, crap" and puts his hands over his face. then it goes through and he claps. lulz.
