idk, theres no difference with torres to me. he dives and rolls around all the time and always stays down. that spain vs chile game, with that infamous dive that gave the red, he stayed down for at least a minute when he clearly wasnt hurt

the end of this video shows the patented torres self trip dive move that hes the best in the world at:

and the chile dive where he showed the world his skills. when he cant score he just trips himself in order to trick the ref into calling fouls:

No disputing that Torres dives. He didn't do much of it today though - both the penalty and the free kick were legit fouls. And even in that clip of the dive, he's not rolling around acting like he's dying like Nani did on 3 separate occasions today..

[Edited on September 19, 2010 at 3:52 PM. Reason : just wanted to bold that... I'm definitely not arguing he doesn't]

Torres pulled off a magnificent gainer today when Evra and Giggs were using him down the left side. When he finally realized he wasnt going ot win it off of them, he flopped his ass down and looked around for a FK.

What a fucking shithead.

Those videos are great. I remember that Chile flop, by far his best acting display recently.

I really hate I dropped Berbs from my fantasy team...

It's a real shame that he's got to resort to those tactics because when he's playing well he's as good as anyone else in the world.

fucking Ferguson...

instead of crying about Torres, how about calling out your own player for his silly diving? Instead of complaining how 2-2 was a travesty, why don't you call out your defense for committing stupid fouls (excuse me, "decisions from the linesman," like those weren't fouls)

he's such an obnoxious prick, even in victory

Quote :
"Lots of questions were asked about him last season and he was made something of a whipping boy, to the point where he must have wondered whether he had a future at Old Trafford."

It's also the big bad media's fault that Berbs got criticized last year. Not for his poor performances and the fact that Fergie seemed to drop him from almost every big game last year...

If so that's super lolable, especially since Wenger was just quoted saying that he believes Fabianski is "world class".

I don't know if "crash out" is the proper terminology for the Carling Cup since nobody gives a fuck about this trophy anyways.

I knew that was coming

you caught me, I'm so devastated Liverpool lost in such a prestigious, important tournament and now I'm just backtracking and pretending like I never cared in the first place.

I barely give a shit about Europa League, why the hell would I care about a competition that sees every good team play their reserves? You probably love the fact that United racks up those Community Shield "trophies" too, right?

just means that they are winning the league, fa cup, or league cup every season which is quite alright with me. i happen to like seeing united play in finals of whatever tourney they are in.

lol northampton town.....theyre in the bottom half of league two...you can bash the league cup all you want but just cause you are making a big case of this now i dont think im letting this loss go. just when i thought lolverpool couldnt get any worse haha

[Edited on September 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Reason : my edit up there is wrong anyway. theyre actually in the 4th division...ahaha]

aimorris, we do love every piece of silverware. It enables us to make the "trophy case" arguement - which trumps any and all of the bullshit you spew

I am pissed Chelsea crashed out, especially since Terry was supposedly anchoring the backline. Ross Turnbull is fucking awful as a keeper. Almost all of Newcastles goal's were from distance.

If you are going to crash out early though the Carling Cup is the one to crash out of. Still sucks to lose to a team that just got back into the EPL, at least we lost to an EPL team unlike Lolverpool.

Now to get back on the right foot against ManCity Saturday.

lol whatever. I had no idea Carling Cup games were even going on until soccer writers I follow on Twitter started saying stuff.... I couldn't tell you who has won the league cup in any year, not even last year.

And again, United fans like to ignore anything that happened before 1990. I think Liverpool does just fine in a "trophy case argument," let me know United wins 5 European championships.

LOL Mancini

http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~2164698,00.html

Quote :
"After spending more than £100m on new players this summer, it was felt Manchester City would be able to provide some sort of challenge for the championship, even if they eventually fell short.

Yet, after seeing his team fall seven points adrift of Carlo Ancelotti's men, and then have his squad decimated by injury, Mancini has apparently thrown in the towel, not just for his own club, but the rest of the league as well.

"Chelsea are probably going to win the Premier League title easily," he said. "They are the best team in the Premier League at the moment..."

I still don't know why Wenger didn't try harder to get a decent GK during the summer transfer. They offered 2 mil for Schwarzer, got turned down, then did it again without upping the price. Of course they got denied again. Then that was it, no looking at GKs from other leagues or even trying to buy a decent EPL keeper with the record profits they just turned. I mean Given is basically ready to walk from ManC but Wenger didn't even bother to give him a second look...

Honestly this is the Arsenal I expected a few weeks ago, with all the injuries and lack of new talent (Chamakh aside). Even as a fan I'm surprised they've done so well so far, so losing to WBA wasn't that big of a shock considering who isn't on the field right now (and the aforementioned GK issues).
