so i played in my first 6v6 clan matches last night and it was astonishing how bad some of these so called 'clans' are. Just camping in the back of the maps with sniper rifles making no push or advancement. We basically had to bomb them out of their encampment and once they were all spread apart they ran around like lost kids with no idea what to do.

Then we promptly got paired up with a clan of guys who were all 3+ prestige and +2.5 K/D ratios. Unreal that people can play that much and be that good. It was a raping.

So I'm going to try my best to like assault rifles. On some maps I feel limited with my SMG. Figure I'll go with the ACR. What's the best way to spec it out? Kick and red dot? Focus? Silencer?

i've found the SCAR has the least recoil without the kick perk. I mastered it without ever using kick. I either use the Focus perk and an attachment (I like the hybrid sites) or two attachments perk and add extended mags.

I've also found the silencer has very little effect on the SCAR's range while also toning down the recoil. So i would try that and use another perk like Focus. Plus you'll stay off the UAV with the silencer attached.



I use ARs more than anything else except the UMP45 on seatown. I've found the M4 has terrible recoil, and the CM901 and ACR just don't seem to inflict the amount of damage the SCAR does.

The Type 95 is great, but you may not like burst fire rifles. and the MK14 is powerful, but it's semi-auto. Neither of these will help you get into ARs but once you do they will become two of your favorites

I have no evidence to prove it but somehow I convinced myself that recording the matches makes it more likely to lag.

I too prefer the SCAR after playing more but in close quarters that PPM90 is great. I miss the AK74 and stoner 63 from black ops though.

I had recording turned off for a while and didn't notice much difference. I do think they've put out some hotfixes to help with the lag, and it isn't as noticeably bad as it was the first week or two.

ETA: I do think the lag compensation is something they fucked up on and just makes the issue worse.

the shotgun attachment may be one of the most frustrating things out there.

that and i'm terrible with scoped (not ACOG) weapons. put a thermal or sniper rifle in my hands and i turn into a retard.

I tried to keep my hands off of the PP90m1 last night. I played about 11 matches exclusively with a silenced ACR. I feel awkward trying to hang back a little more and take people out from a distance. It started very badly. Overall it was a wash. I had 5 games over 1:1 k/d mixed between about 6 games of .5 k/d. I think those couple of bright spots will keep me going. Going to try the Scar and 95.
