Cassel is definitely going to score in the top half of NFL QBs. He's a damn sight better than Freeman. The Chiefs have opened with 3 difficult games. Atlanta at home, at Buffalo, and then at NO. The only reason he didn't put up big numbers against NO was because Jamal Charles was running wild.

I feel pretty confident in saying that even though he is currently 23rd in fantasy scoring he's going to end up being better than Sanchez, Locker, Ponder, Luck, RGIII, Palmer, Alex Smith, Fitzpatrick, and Vick. From a fantasy perspective he's probably on par with your Andy Dalton Tony Romo types.

^^Witten. Boldin has completely disappeared with the emergence of Torrey Smith. With Smith, Rice, Pitta and an emerging Jacoby Jones there just aren't enough touches for Boldin. Boldin is barely even worth a roster spot at this point.

Dude, RGIII plays 6 games against the Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys. The skins also play the AFC North this year, which means he gets Baltimore and Pittsburgh. If you've payed attention, RGIII has gotten worse each game. Teams are figuring him out, and he's had the good fortune of playing NO and St. Louis, 2 of the worst defenses in the NFL.

Wait a minute! You said Cassel didn't go off against the Saints because of Jamal Charles?! What?

The guy threw the ball 44 times vs the Saints who are clearly one of the worst passing defenses in the league. He averaged a terrible 5.6 yards per pass, failed to throw a single TD, had two turnovers and ended with a QB rating of 65.3

On top of how bad Cassel is, he's also an injury risk and could possibly lose his job by midseason just for being so terribly ineffective the last 1.5 years.

This has got to be the most irrational endorsement of any fantasy football player ever.

Again, I'm not saying Cassel is awesome, just that he'll end up as a top half of the NFL fantasy QB. Griffin will not. Oh, and as far as injury risks, at the pace he's going Griffin is going to get injured and miss at least a couple of games this year. You can't continue to get hit on every other dropback and survive. Dude took 6 sacks last week and got blow up at least another half dozen times. He's going to start 14 games tops.

Of course I've been paying attention to RGIII. I've been starting him in both my 2QB leagues and I'm 6-0 in those leagues because I ignored all the retarded articles saying he wouldn't be good in fantasy this year.

For the record the Rams are one of the best passing defenses in the league and he still had a huge fantasy game, so I wouldn't be too concerned about him although I will acknowledge he has played two awful defenses in NO and KC.

Don't forget he'll get Garcon back, he will get more comfortable in the offense, and that if teams take away the pass he may just run even more.

If you want to say now's the time to sell high on RGIII then I may agree with you. But are you really saying that if you were in my league I could just go pick up Matt Cassel off waivers and you'd be willing to trade me RGIII? That deal would be shot down by protests in five minutes and we'd both be kicked out of the league next year...

did someone offer you that trade? If you are the one making the offer he's going to laugh in your face. No way would I trade my two first picks from the draft for a first rounder (who is barely a flex option) and an 8th round TE.

If that trade was accepted in my league I would probably veto it, and I hate vetoing trades

Thoughts on WR3 this week?

PPR 0.5: Michael Crabtree (@NYJ), Mike Williams (v WAS), Pierre Garcon (@TB).

Right now I'm leaning Crabtree since it's a PPR league and he's had a solid season so far, just hasn't found the end zone yet. Williams does have a favorable matchup though. And Garcon had a huge Week 1 but has been hurt since and is listed as questionable this week.

And since Nicks is now listed as doubtful:

He offered Marshawn Lynch or Doug Martin.

I'm thinking about countering with Lynch and Mikel Leshoure for RGIII and maybe Shonn Greene.

Gates has been nothing for me so far this season, and ponder and rudolph seem to be hooking up more each week. DET has also given up a ton to TEs this year. i'm leaning towards rudolph but feel like gates is due to actually contribute. i also have floyd as a WR so if i start rudolph i'd kinda like gates to not do well and floyd to get more points.
