There is absolutely no reason for Dan Ellis to ever play in a Carolina Hurricanes uniform again.

Peters hasn't been very good, but WHHHYYYYY did Ellis start this game? Starting him cold after an injury was weird enough, but going with him again after he played like garbage?

Not that anyone particularly cares, but Greensboro's youth hockey program just won the Tier II U16 USA Hockey national championship today. The first team from NC to win one at any level. My little bro is on the team

For real, though, if JR doesn't snap out of this offensive D-minded core, we're never going to sniff the playoffs.

And no such thing as a reliable backup, but I think we'd be royally screwed if Ellis or Peters is our backup again next year. I wouldn't be surprised if Peters just stays down in Charlotte to start the season since he'll be on a one-way contract. He's been called up for 4 seasons in a row and not once has shown capability of handling the load as a backup, even to workhorse starter like Cam.

Because not only is it the last game of the series, they weren't even booing at the beginning of the game. They started either after a random turnover or when he got hit some time like a period into the game.

It's annoying because they'd take him back if they could, and they know it. Unfortunately, what we've seen from his former teammates, that locker room was toxic for him. It's also annoying that he'll get pushed around on the ice by them and won't do anything about it. But that's just how he rolls. I don't really care if that happened at home, but it's annoying for the crowd to get into the game so easily at an away game.

I was really, REALLY hoping he was gonna snipe one past Holtby yesterday. That would've made everything worth it.

Finally renewed my season tickets after hemming and hawing the last few weeks. Noticed on the renewal form that they're bumping up general parking to $15/game next year...really trying to endear themselves to fans after the lockout and this collapse. Good thing I don't pay to park anyway.
