Hairston may be my most hated Duke player of all time. Anytime someone comes within 3 feet of him he flops, falls, and screams. You suck at basketball.

You haven't watched must Duke basektball have you?

Luisville doesn't want halftime. That's just time to think about what just happened to Ware as opposed to just competing which is what they're doing now.

If you're Pitino how do you approach halftime? Give them a status update or not? Rally the troops or talk abut playing through the emotions? Do you just outright lie about Ware's chances to play again?

That's a very recoverable injury I think. Much better than a knee or another muscle/joint. I think.

Bones are easy to fix. The problem is how much he fucked up his muscles by breaking the bones so violently.

Duke being 1 point down with nothing from Curry and Kelly out most of the 1st half doesn't bode well for Louisville.

Wow, and Curry got absolutely mugged on that last possession.

Guys, he's probably going to have a titanium rod in his leg, he isn't playing at the college level again. If it was an open fracture it's going to be even worse. I guess he might only end up with plates and screws, but that's a devastating injury for someone who needs a lot of lateral movement.

Theres also the WR from Alabama a few years ago that can barely walk after snapping his leg. I doubt this kid ever plays major college basketball again, if any basketball at all. I just hope he can live his life normally with no problems from it.

I enjoy the unfortunate nature of the elevated floor putting the injury right at eye level for his teammates.

not every day you see bones on the outside....or the inside of a bone on the outside

I'd probably be throwing up if that happened five feet away from me...the sound alone would be horrendous

No way in hell I'm watching that youtube video. I saw it on tv and that was enough for me. That gif of the Louisville bench is insane. Can't imagine seeing/hearing that from the bench.

Does anyone else hear a constant murmur from the crowd? My stepdad's tv picks it up really well. Playing basketball in a football stadium is stupid.

I was strongly against beilein. Mainly because he ran the Princeton offense at West Virginia and I didn't want herb 2.0

I was for Greggg.

I think at this point only "Just_roo_it" has a mathematical chance to beat me if Michigan beats Syracuse and then Louisville. (which isn't really outside the realm of possibility the way Michigan is playing right now). I'm currently rank 260 out of 8.1 million.

Good view of the compound fracture on Ware. Its like he has two knees on his right leg.

Open fractures are emergencies. He probably went into surgery within just a few hours after arriving at the hospital. Golden rule is 6-8 hours or less after the injury, any period after that and it is considered infected. He broke both the tibia and fibula just based in the fact his leg entirely bent downward. The surgeons will determine if he needs a plate or a rod for the tibia based on the degree of comminution and soft tissue integrity. If there is a lit of comminution then they'll need to use a buttress plate to get the bone back out to length. I imagine the syndesmosis was disrupted so there will need to probably be a transyndesmotic screw(s) used. Ware will likely never play high level basketball again. If so it would be amazing.
