I know some of yall don't like the targeting rule, but I think, apart from the bullshit of not removing the penalty upon replay reversal, that it's a good rule. The simple fact is that the NCAA has to look out for player safety, and hits made using the helmet pose a serious concussion risk to both players involved. Nothing is taken away from the game by asking players to tackle instead of launching a blunt instrument through the air at each other. Teach your players how to actually tackle, and you don't have to worry about the penalty. Teach your players to hurt other players, and you do. That seems reasonable to me. There's absolutely no reason to allow players to use safety equipment as a weapon, and if this rule helps remove that from the game, then fine.

FSU definitely looked legit tonight. I wonder how the media will treat Clemson though. Maybe its just me but it seems that if a top 10 SEC team looses they always talk about how tough the conference is. If a top 10 ACC team loses, they start wondering if they were ever that good to begin with. I suppose that's usually a legitimate question, but in this case I think Clemson deserves the benefit of the doubt at least for now.

This is the perfect time for an NC State win over FSU. They are supposed to kill us, they are undefeated, and they have a game the next week they will be overlooking us for. FSU has plenty of shitting the bed moments against us, I would laugh my ass off if it happens again this year.
