Hairston has been cited twice for driving rented vehicles by a felon with ties to UNC boosters. This was found out through members of the media and other entities, it was not self reported. The NCAA will either come out and suspend him or they will tell UNC how long to "keep him out." To think that Roy is calling the shots over the rentals would not be accurate based off prior reportings in the past to the NCAA at other schools. Now Roy can do as he pleases or pile on regarding the speeding, drugs, and handgun. the rentals, however, is not his call and I'm quite surprised this hasn't been brought up on a national scale. Same with Leslie McDonald and the mouthguards/cell phone. I don't know if the national media has put two and two together regarding Hariston and the mouthguards but I know they did with McDonald...

There was no direct evidence that Johnny Football took money. If there is (a paper trail), I have not seen it. With Hairston, there is direct evidence he drove rented vehicles on two separate occasions from the same felon that has ties to UNC boosters. Just because the entire country thinks Manziel took money is irrelevant to the NCAA. Proof is relevant, and there is none that has been made public.

^They are. Most cases that go through the american judicial system never see court. It's easier on the system (cost wise) if he just cops to the crime than if they have to go through the whole judge and jury and trial thing.

They make it win-win by offering a (usually) slightly less harsh penalty than they'd probably otherwise get from a judge.
