Panthers got the better QB
10/29/2015 8:18:49 PM
Funny how things like that work out. Him staying in school ended up being one of the best things to ever happen to the Panthers.Let's have a tww Panther poll at this point in the season. State how far you think the Panthers will make it. We'll revisit it later on.I think we lose to GB in the NFCCG.[Edited on October 29, 2015 at 9:14 PM. Reason : poll]

Panthers getting new Nike "color rush" uni's for the turkey day game. Huddle posters already figured out we're going all blue. Here's a pic of the pants
10/29/2015 10:54:43 PM
10/29/2015 11:04:11 PM
they aren't really getting new "unis", just possibly pants. The NFL only allows 1 home/1 away/1 alternate jersey and they have to be approved well before the season. They don't have surprise new uniforms.[Edited on October 30, 2015 at 10:16 AM. Reason : i just looked at the comments from the thread that video is posted in. those people are dumb.]

The Colts worry me, they have the depth at WR plus a good tight end to really give our secondary trouble. I'm not convinced yet that Luck has truly regressed, he's going to break out of his funk eventually and MNF would be the time to do it. On the flip side, JStew should have another big night against a defense that doesn't really scare me. It's going to come down to converting 3rd downs and how Bene/Tillman plus our safeties do against whoever Norman isn't covering.
10/30/2015 11:50:55 AM
^I agree. The Colts are down this year, Luck isn't having a particularly strong season. But I feel like he and they are still capable of being a pretty dangerous offense.

Moncrief has been a known commodity for a while
10/30/2015 3:12:58 PM
dude's a top-25 fantasy receiver
10/30/2015 3:16:22 PM
Hilton/Moncrief/elderly AJ isn't depth unfortunately. I wouldn't take that group over the 3 we line up now and we're pedestrian at best in that department.
10/30/2015 4:35:26 PM
Haha, wait. You're saying Brown/Ginn/Cotchery are better than Hilton/Moncrief/ANYONE?Hahaha, not even close. You could put Bersin as the #3 WR and I'd take those 3 over our current 3 for sure. I think Ginn works in our offense really well, but I'd trade any of our 3 for Hilton or Moncrief.
10/30/2015 5:05:36 PM
hahahathere's homerism and then there's HOMERISM
10/30/2015 5:22:04 PM
It would make more sense to argue the shittiness of any other position group for the colts. They've spent two thirds and a first the last three years on WRs, plus signing Andre, who nobody thought was done yet. Meanwhile, we've spent a first and a second, but our first is hurt and our second is doing his best Brandon LaFell impression. They should have better receivers based on their investments in that position. But they've built their roster like a fantasy team and basically ignored the offensive line, so hopefully Short, Allen and company can have a field day on Monday night.

I honestly can't think of another NFL team that Philly Brown could actually make the roster.
10/30/2015 6:05:25 PM
we have two punt returners and a 33 year-old possession receiver as our Top-3they're the worst Top-3 in the leagueTY Hilton alone is better than our 3 combined
10/30/2015 6:12:51 PM
*a punt returner and a punt returner who can't catch punts
10/30/2015 6:25:17 PM
exactly
10/30/2015 6:27:52 PM
^^both of whom struggle catching passes
10/30/2015 7:49:05 PM
I don't recall Philly dropping anything in the regular season thus farThough I do get your point
10/30/2015 8:42:17 PM
^haha yeah you're right...i can't think of any drops off the top of my head for philly. DON'T RUIN MY JOKES TWISTA
10/30/2015 8:59:19 PM
My point was Indy isn't deep at receiver and the point still stands. I'm not scared one bit by any skill player they have on that side of the ball. You guys are completely overrating that Colts unit.
10/30/2015 9:15:48 PM
i would label the Colts WRs as a strength. i mean, if you're saying that they don't scare you...then i don't disagree. but they are still pretty good.
10/30/2015 9:21:45 PM
They've got good receiversI'm just not scared of the guy whose job it is to get them the ball
10/30/2015 10:20:21 PM
The Colts O has a problem, but it's nothing to do with skill positions or "depth". They have 2 really good WRs, 2 solid TEs, and 2 solid(but old) RBs. Their problem on O is that their OL is awful, and because Luck is getting wrecked every week, he has happy feet and he's rushing throws which is leading to picks/incompletions, and if he does hold it he gets sacked. We hopefully looked at what the Saints did last week, they rendered Luck useless in the first half and all his numbers came in the 4th quarter with the game out of reach. The reason I think we'll win though, is on the other side of the ball. Outside of Davis, their defense is very forgettable. We should be able to run the ball fairly well, and when we can run the ball effectively our offense is tough to stop. Let Davis take away Brown or Ginn, gameplan should be run the ball and avoid Davis in the secondary. They literally have only one player to scheme against.

How many point are the Colts going to score against our D in your estimation?
10/31/2015 9:36:13 AM
Luke is Cam for Halloween
10/31/2015 10:51:43 AM
^^ I say colts score 3 FGs and 2TDs (one gore rush, one pass to TE), so I peg them at 23pts.While I agree that the colts D sucks, I am worried with Kalil being doubtful to play (hurts our run game). Looks like we're missing Shaq again and missing D-line depth - wo will probably be closer than us panthers fans think.

anyone think we'll trade for a WR or any other personnel? these articles about us getting Megatron seem far fetched to say the least, but Pierre Garcon, Anquan Boldin, etc. might be worth looking at. I think we should pull Welker out of FA for a cheap one year deal, even though we won't be helped by his height.
11/2/2015 5:58:39 PM
I'd be surprised if we brought in anyone on the offensive side of the ball (unless we have some injuries) but the possibility would probably become more likely if we keep winning and somebody wants to try and jump aboard on the cheap to win a ring.Megatron though, as baller as he is, would be about a $6.5M cap hit for the 2nd half of the season, which we don't have. And we've gotta keep the books open for guys like Norman and Short. So I just don't see it happening. We got Allen on the cheap so that's different. Plus it address the need of CJ being injured.
11/2/2015 6:09:47 PM
The only legit WR add that I could see that would make financial sense is Anquan Boldin. He's on the final year of his deal, so would be a 1-year rental and would give us some good veteran experience, good blocker, and good hands. Not going to stretch the field but would give us a legit passing threat. That being said, I don't think we do any 1-year rental trades or do anything to risk messing up the team chemistry. And it's basically rumored enough that it's considered legit, that no NFL owner is going to pick up Wes Welker. His concussion issues, it's feared that his next concussion could be life-ending.
11/2/2015 6:26:25 PM
49ers just traded Vernon Davis, so there might be a fire sale in order.
11/2/2015 6:29:10 PM
Calvin Johnson's cap hit is like $20M+ for the next 2 seasons. There is no way we take that on, even if he wasn't on the wrong side of 30. If we trade for anything, I'd rather it be a safety to shore up our one true weakness on defense. The offense is what it is for this season, I don't think any one player is going to change things dramatically. [Edited on November 2, 2015 at 6:38 PM. Reason : .]
11/2/2015 6:34:54 PM
there is absolutely no reason for this team to make a trade this deep into this season and undefeatedthis isn't fantasy

11/2/2015 8:56:06 PM
that's clearly a fumble
11/2/2015 9:06:27 PM
I don't think they'd be able to overturn that. Unless somehow the defender hit the ball without even grazing Newton's skin or jersey or helmet.
11/2/2015 9:06:36 PM
how hard is to get up to the line and hike the ball to avoid the challenge
11/2/2015 9:06:50 PM
lol how do they think the ball came out? Of course he was touched.
