not sure it was worth that much, but it is pretty nice. i like how small and light it feels. my phones live a pretty rough life, though, so i'll have to put it in a case, unfortunately. battery life is awesome.

I just got a mophie case for my S8. I miss my thinner case, but the 2 day battery life is legit.

Thinking about switching to Android from my iPhone 6+ and looking to get an S8+ but figured I'd see if there is something else I should look into. My main requirement is a headphone jack which rules out the new Pixel. I was looking at the new Note but the battery is smaller and I wouldn't use the pen at all.

Anything better than the S8+?

This is the first time I've had wireless charging and it is awesome. I am constantly leaving and returning to my desk at work and I'm rarely there for more than 30 or 45 minutes at a time, so it's awesome to be able to just pick it up and set it back down and pick up some juice as I go through the day. I end up getting home with plenty of battery left to listen to music while I cut grass.

I do wish it had the option to have the "always on display" only on when it is charging. Looks like it's possible with Tasker, though.

I finally bit the bullet and bought an unlocked S8 and love it. I thought I was really going to hate the edge gimmick but it doesn't bother me near as much as I thought it would. I also got one of these on sale with it and it is by far the nicest case I've ever put on a phone.

^^ Phones are one item that i don't worry about from that standpoint for this very reason.

I also prefer minimal cases though, so that UAG case is fairly hideous to me. But I never like the 'tough' looking cases.

when I'm not using the mophie, I'm using the verizon shell case:


it's really thin, gives great protection around the corners and sides, gives you a "grippy" back surface, and gives you a bonus foldaway kickstand. it is also a very "discreet" minimal case that doesn't make you look like a d-bag.
