kind of. I've used it on kids a lot, and i'm sure i've called a guy that at some point or another. It's never been an official nickname or whatever. the only name i've used really extensively makes monkey seem manly. It was Sugar Bear.

I refer to my husband as Sir on a regular basis.
I call my children, Bug, and Boogey.
