If you're going to argue about whether or not we should offer someone or how someone will fit in our system, then by all means do it. If you're going to troll someone about something that happened in a different section DO NOT do it in this thread. No one wants to read that shit and it makes it difficult to actually find relevant information.

From page 16 (regarding Ryan Harrow):

Quote :
"yeah, he's going to blow up just like everyone said Julius Mays and CJ Williams were going to, right?

this guy does sound solid. 50 points is nothing to scoff at. i thought PG's were supposed to get assists?"

Agreed. No one thought he would blow up, that quote just goes to show how desperate we were, hell still are.

As a 2 guard he actually wasn't THAT bad, but too short and slow to defend other 2's.

As a point guard he was @$#$@@$ horrible.

Too bad he played point.

i disagree very much.

last year he averaged:
18.5 minutes
4.5 points
1.6 assists
1.1 turnovers
30% from 3
86% freethrows

these are not good numbers. they do not stand out. but they are not @$#$@@$ horrible.

the a:to ratio is pretty bad, but he was a lights out FT shooter which was nice

I think he hit a down trodden spot in his career last year, he seemed to disappear and just be out of it then suddenly in one game he came back on. he has potential but I think he just doesnt have that killer instinct and NEED to have the ball in his hands and his team winning every possession and minute of the game. he seems too laid back at times.

he has potential though theres no doubt.

I can't get the image of him constantly dribbling into double teams and looking at Sidney out of my head. But we must move on and NEVER FORGET.

Normally you wouldn't single someone out for shooting 86% on FTs, but we've been pretty bad at it the past couple of seasons so I think he deserves some credit for actually knocking them down on a consistent basis.

you sound like the asshole who got on me one game cause i booed julius mays. he had just committed three turnovers in a row. the last of which included him catching an inbounds pass on the baseline. and picking up his dribble 3 feet from where he caught it. one of the things this guy said to me was 'you couldnt do better'

ha

Well he's just started getting a ton of attention, which explains why most of his offers are from low to mid-major schools. It's still good to see that he has offers from schools from the Power 6 conferences, as well as the A-10, which last year was better than the Pac-10.

Alabama - SEC
Boston College - ACC
Cincinnati - Big East
Colorado - Big XII (but not for long)
Florida State - ACC
Georgetown - Big East
NC State - ACC
Rutgers - Big East
Virginia - ACC
Virginia Tech - ACC

i dont know about blowing up but I remember thinking Mays would be a good guard in the Atsur slow and steady mold after reading about him/watching a couple youtube vids. Plus "Julius Mays" just sounds like a good basketball player. shows what i know he was just tooooooo slow

You can look at that article as being negative, or you can look at it as being realistic...Lowe does need to add some quality players in the class of 2011, not just borderline 2/3 star guys.

damn, that sucks about Wilson - I guess. That just puts more pressure on Lowe & Co. to land Seagars.

Apparently Sid has been stepping it up with Desmond Hubert of late:
http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/a.z?s=178&p=8&c=1&nid=3896111

He would be a great get for us, but I'd still like to see us get a big with a more polished offensive game to compliment the brute force and athleticism of Uchebo.

No confirmation from packpride, and people are saying that summer school exams just finished up yesterday, but why the hell would a rising senior w/no apparent academic issues need to worry about summer school classes?

I would like to not believe the rumors, but as a state fan I know better!

Was watching sports nation on ABC. One of the plays was Nolan Smith pulling a wicked cross over on Ryan Harrow and making him fall. Ouch.
