Looks like we're gonna get a visit from B.J. Young sometime in the fall, kid is a 4 star PG who was an unknown on the AAU circuit until a few months ago but has since garnered a ton of attention after putting up several 50 point games against some other highly rated guards.

^^ Usually, home team is listed second when matchups are put in that format.

Didn't you play little league?

just noticed on gopack that CJ Leslie is going to wear # 5 and Painter is wearing # 0. Wonder if Painter gave him his number or was forcibly taken from him

Javi 2.0 is not an acceptable get at this stage of Lowe's tenure...also looks like the staff has decided to focus on other big men so we're likely out of it with Tyler Harris.

I've seen things about Tyler Harris and us backing off each other. The part where you said something about big men made me wut.

And I think we're after better players than that Angel guy. He doesn't have an offer does he?

The kid's coach claims he has offers from us, Florida, Marquette and K State. I supposed I could have phrased the Tyler Harris thing better.

If winning and getting media exposure for your touted 1st and 2nd year players has any play with recruiting prospects - we may want to hold the bulk of our offers until this year's crop actually pans out. ya know?

It's already been hashed out to some degree, but the whole thing on Tracy not making grades is complete bullshit, the guy also claimed Tracy had a new 7 series BMW furnished by an agent. Because agents go around handing out 7 series to every borderline second rounder

^^^ We land CJ Leslie and in so doing dodge the bullet of Cothron's ineligibility...the trend of NC State shit this year continues (knock on wood)...there's a Pack fan somewhere sacrificing a goat to a statue of Jimmy V methinx.

Saw CJ and Zo on campus yesterday. I was driving from the bookstore. They came out of the tunnel on my left and Reynold's was on my right. Must be some type of sign.

Rivals' list of teams trying to end tourney droughts:
Quote :
"ACC: North Carolina State
Last NCAA tournament appearance: 2006
2009-10 record: 20-16 overall, 5-11 ACC. Reached the second round of the NIT.
The buzz: North Carolina State heads into the 2010-11 season with arguably the highest expectations of any team on this list. The Wolfpack return three starters, including second-team All-ACC forward Tracy Smith. North Carolina State also welcomes a recruiting class that ranks fifth in the nation and includes three of the nation's top 36 prospects in 6-foot-8 forward C.J. Leslie (No. 14), 6-1 guard Ryan Harrow (No. 19) and 6-5 guard Lorenzo Brown (No. 36). With just about every ACC team other than Duke facing major questions, the Wolfpack have a chance to make a major move up the league standings. The Wolfpack may need to end this NCAA drought for embattled coach Sidney Lowe to keep his job beyond this season. "

I don't think its that bad unless the death was slow and painful.

On that note, I would gladly choke Rameses to death.

I think I remember PI reporting recently that our staff was backing off on Harkless.

Nonetheless, good pickup for St. John's. My fingers are crossed for Harris.

"NC State coach Sidney Lowe and assistant coach Larry Harris will have an in-home visit with Dix Hills, N.Y., senior small forward Tyler Harris on Sept. 12. Harris will also likely take an official visit to Raleigh during a football game weekend. The Virginia Tech game Oct. 2 could be a possibility, but that will get determined during the in-home visit."
