I'm not sure if it's occurred to you yet or not, but I think an easy solution to your issue could be had by simply not purchasing an iPhone.

Do you really believe half the shit you say? The bullshit part is saying it can't be implemented with 1 radio. Kind of like Verizon saying they don't "block" apps? And I'm far from mad as I'm not an Apple fan and have no intention of buying one unless it's to sell it to some dumbass fanboy with more money than brains. Still debating whether to upgrade with verizon to the 5 or cancel services, buy a 4s from Craigslist and use Straight Talk. I would buy an unlocked 5, but ST doesn't support the nano SIM card at this time. I'll lose my unlimited data on verizon and they now won't cover data packages under company discounts so my bill will be higher for less data. Part of me wants to save a ton of money and the other part wants the new iphone

It's not that Apple CAN'T get it to work on CDMA, it's that they aren't going to alter their phone in any significant way in order to bow down to the shitty implementation of LTE by a couple of carriers. a little of both for me this time around. I've never pre-ordered an iphone until today. But my iPhone 4 is on it's way out. It looks flawless, but the home button is almost non responsive and it just runs slow. So pairing that with it's decent trade in value ($160 + $30 i got for my old 3G) I come out just a few dollars over zero net.

When I got my first iphone I think I remember them allowing you to turn data off. This was with ATT. I could see them forcing you to keep data on it....but you could certainly ask.
