A terrible NBA team that was bad no matter who coached it. If you want to talk NBA (which is much different than college basketball) remember how highly respected Lowe is, and that he wouldn't go a week without a job offer.

he did a good job in the Duke game. it also helped that Duke was so scared of Scott Wood lighting them up they decided to double him and that allowed Tracy to go to work against Duke's mediocre bigs. and that Javi was making 30 ft stepback 3's.

basketball is a fluid sport though. sometimes bad teams beat good teams. sometimes really bad teams beat really good teams. it's not like we built off that win or anything. had another shitty season that ended in the NIT.

the overwhelming evidence, aside from a few games, shows a downward trend for this team and program. not really anyway to argue against that. or if not downward, stagnantly shitty.

Ehh I've looked but I do know I do NOT want to even think about Barnes. He is possibly the most overrated coach in the NCAA.

I would start with the Stevens (pipe dream but worth a shot), Gregorys, Macks, Marshalls, and Mooneys of the mid-major level. Because that is most likely where the next coach comes from.

Tubby is underrated and could do some serious damage with our talent IMO.

He's 59 and a NC native. He's got at least 5/6 more years in him maybe more.

That's essentially what TOB is for us. Tom was 58 when hired...62 now.

There are easily 3 up and comers that would come here. Big name coaches? I'm sure we'd ask a couple.

Part of why we pay Yow so much money is to always keep a short list of people she'd want for the position should something come up.

Either way, it's becoming pretty obvious what the 2011-2012 team will look like if we don't make a change, IMO. I honestly wouldn't mind if we let Lowe have 1 more season just to get to coach these heralded freshmen 1 more year and truly let him have the fruits of his labor. I'm so numb to BBall, I could watch another year of this shit. With that said, I think he's a terrible coach and you'd see a whole lot more of the same. I think we have a small talent/experience problem. I think we have a BIG lack of coaching problem

I do believe Sidney is gone, though. New AD + 5 shitty seasons straight = you're gonna get canned
