interesting trends to watch this week.

there are some monster lines out there that have shifted hard due to heavy betting ont he favorites. just the bal/oak line has shifted over 4 pts since monday. not that particular game, but there looks to be some very favorable point situations popping up this week.

also,

with so many week one upsets, watch your long term trends with week 2 performances....

2 key factors to watch will be underdogs that won on the road in week 1 historically underperform in week 2.

case in point would be the falcons/tb game. after first week performance, this line shifted wider than i htink it should be, it may be a good play to take the bucs with the falcons laying a td+.

a road underdog that wins in week one that is a favorite the next week doesnt cover ~59% of the time. so take that FWIW.

the other key factor is that when a home fav. loses their opening game, people tend to not bet them as hard in week two...

watch the line on the panthers game this weekend..... its too tight against minn i think.... may be some value there...

Record after Week One. NFL 2-1. Sorry about the Denver bet guys, I picked a real loser there. Horrible play, I feel like a rookie. However the SD and Philly picks couldn't have been easier money.

I've only got two plays this week in NFL with STL -3 and New Orleans -2. I feel pretty confident in Jacksonville on MNF and i might play that game, but i want to see Roethlisberger's status first.

STL is an easy pick. The 49ers defense sucks and Steven Jackson will run all over them. Expect the Rams to figure out their red zone offense a little better for an easy cover.

New Orleans is a trickier pick, but I see no reason not to bet against the Packers right now.
