There should be a rule that if in a series game there is powerplay time left it carries into the NEXT game .
I'm suprised and pleased we are keeping our cool, I know Id be retaliating, esp after a back check into the boards like that. 6/7/2006 10:53:54 PM |

so say, it's a tie basketball game. a player just got fouled with no time left on the clock. he makes one free throw to win the game, and you want the second to carry on to the next game, that the two teams play. a games a game. end of story. what happens in one game, should not have any effect on another, unless a player gets suspended.

^^^ speaking of that. It seems like a player has to be shot or something to be rewarded a foul in the last seconds these days.

oh WTF? MacTavish just said in the press conference that he wasn't surprised that his players would more than likely try to finish checks on Ladd, the guy that took out their goalie. Ladd didn't take out Roloson. Bergeron was the one directly at fault. he's the one that pushed Ladd into Roloson going 100 mph. this was in comment to one of the penalties one of the Oilers players got. 6/7/2006 11:12:37 PM |

AGAIN to RE POST THIS, especially to you all who post all game long. I am sure some of you are busy and have to be at the computer but for all you others... come on out to the tent outside of the rbc center for game 5 if it happens. They have beer to sell, food, and its right outside of the center so IF we win the band plays for 30-60 minutes while we go nuts. If we have a chance to win the Stanley Cup in raleigh then EVERYONE that is EVER on here needs to be out there....have a big party before and then watch the game on the 4 flat screens outside the stadium! beer food a band...then the game starts about 500 people out there for game 1 and 1,000 for tonight. to top it off when it goes dead at the rbc outside which wont be till after 1230 at night if we win the stanley cup HUGE afterparty at Damon's. So pray for next wednesday and be there and not on here. later 6/7/2006 11:19:30 PM |

Nahh. We're not fucking Morganton. Or Edmonton for that matter. The redneck in this area is getting squeezed out 10x faster than our streotype that hangs on us. Best we not make a scene.
IF WE WIN. let's keep our ducks in a row, we're only 2 games up. Remember Montreal? or San Jose?6/7/2006 11:34:20 PM |

let's just not start jumping fires and falling into them like our brethren down I-40 did last year.
i say grab the goals from the ice and carry them to the middle of Hillsborough St. right in front of Mitch's Tavern. heck tear down the goal posts at C-F too. we haven't done that in some time now. but sersiously we need to throw down big. i mean shut down trinity all the way back to Hillsborough for some drinks at the bars. i expect to see helicopters in the air covering it if it happens. i mean shit, if it happens, which i'm praying it does, it'll be the first major pro championship for North Carolina! we better be partying balls to the walls that day. 6/8/2006 12:02:54 AM |

Three things on tonight:
1. I was right to make a sign that said "CAM ROY-RD."
2. The second goal was softer than a Golden Retriever puppy.
3. Chris Berman was in the crowd, wearing a Whale hat. AWESOME. Don Cherry was on the ice before the game. DOUBLE AWESOME. 6/8/2006 12:45:33 AM |

i don't think they'd purposely throw a chance to wrap up the series. i do think the oilers will come back with some ferocity and win one game, more than likely game three, to make it seem like they're back in it. 6/8/2006 1:19:24 AM |

yea.. penalties shouldn't carry over in a series.. but I can see a rule that carries game misconducts to the next game reasonable. kinda like a 10 minute suspension instead of just a 10 minute penalty.
I didn't realize Laraque got both a 5 min major and a 10 minute misconduct until I got home tonight. Serves him right since he didn't get called with the punch to Wallin 6/8/2006 1:49:07 AM |
