10 of next 11 on the road

including Dallas, Houston, Lakers, Clevaland, Utah and Portland

right now is probably the closest we'll be to the playoffs for the rest of the year

SOAK IT IN!!!

Yeah those 6 games are just about sure losses. We are making just enough strides to ruin our pick for next year. A Beasley/Okafor frontcourt would be pretty sweet. Dudley is really turning into a solid pro.

Bobcats are really playing well lately...actually looking like a team instead of an every-man-for-himself nightmare.

Richardson has obviously stepped up, Dudley is contributing a lot, and Carroll is on fire of late. But the guy that's been really key in the turnaround has been Felton -- he is just in complete control of the game. Why again hasn't he been playing PG all year?

Because we had awesome Jeff McInnis who has been in and out of the league for 10 years and always starts!

Richardson got Eastern Conference player of the week last week

Also today at Wallace's first contact practice since the concussion he said his days of playing the 4 are over and asked the coaches not to play him there. Also he says he expects to play on Wednesday against Dallas!

That means either Jared will have to play some 4 or get minimal minutes

You figure Ray, J rich and Walllace all get 35-38 per game

Boykins plays pg when Rays not it

Carroll plays sg when Richardson's not in

Dudley's been playing too well to only get 10-12 mins per game

If he could play the 4 some, that would alleviate some of that

Obviously we still need to look at a 4 or 5 in the draft

Beasley, Lopez and Jordan primarily

They keep playing shitty enough to not make the playoffs and good enough to never get a decent pick in the draft

when i look at our playoff chances in the east, i'm thinking even though we're mathematically still in it, we're not going to outplay Philly or Jersey or Atlanta or anybody by +5 games to make the playoffs...the only disheartening thing is that there are 4-5 teams in the West that I think are going to finish with a worse record than us (Memphis, Clippers, etc) so I'm looking at like the 8th or 9th draft pick

Wallace looks like he's almost back to 100%...had a couple sick dunks last night...Felton tossed him one alley where it was a little high but he grabbed it anyway with both hands then threw it down with one hand...on another alley, Felton again tossed it...this time a defender deflected the pass but Wallace got it and threw it down anyway

Time Warner Deal Complete! Bobcats games on FSN now.

this is good for both teams (canes & bobcats) but it might be bad if TWC doesn't add a 2nd FSN for nights when they overlap or something

okay never mind what i said

FSN IS FUCKING STUPID.

Quote :
"As far as conflicts go, my understanding is Bobcats games would be shown in Charlotte and Hurricanes games in Raleigh when they overlap. How the rest of the state splits, I have no idea. Based on the number of games televised, I would guess the Bobcats would be shown outside the Triangle. Clearly, they're the priority for FSN South now."

So it appears Bobcats fans in the triangle, and Hurricanes fans outside the triangle, or at least west of the triangle, are fucked.

the most fucked up thing is that the Bobcats get money from Time Warner now, but the city of Charlotte gets jack shit, even though we taxpayers paid for the fucking arena...politics as usual

btw did anybody watch the timberwolves game tonight on FSN? i was there so i didnt see it on tv, but from teh news14 highlights, the camera quality looked HORRIBLE...but maybe its just whatever feed news14 used?

Bob Johnson, Nelly and....Michael Jordan were all front row last night...first time in franchise history that his Airness has been to a game and not sat in a private box...he actually sat front row for the first half before disappearing...wonder how much B'Johnson had to pay him for the appearance since he don't wear Hanes underwear for nothin

Besides Brown, there are a few other good-not-great choices out there

Rick Carlisle (my top choice)
Scott Skiles
Jeff Van Gundy
Paul Silas

Anybody know of any good assistants out there?

why do some of you people still harp on the UNC prevalence in the bobcats organization. just give it a fuckin' rest already. WHO GIVES A GOOD GODDAMN. it's not college ball, it's the NBA.

i don't give a flying fuck how many tarheels are on the team, they're not going out to beat State, they're going out to beat detroit and boston, and if they can do that, then i'm completely content. so please, SHUT THE FUCK UP. get over it, for all of us, please.

i mean for god's sake people, there are what, like 4 direct unc connections to the team. WELCOME TO THE NBA. THAT'LL HAPPEN WHEN YOUR COLLEGE PROGRAM HAS BEEN CONSISTENTLY PRODUCING THE BEST PLAYERS FOR THE LAST 40 YEARS

^ still drunk from last night? I wouldnt say UNC has produced any GREAT players within the past 5 years. May sucks, Jeff McInnis was horrible and I still question whether felton will ever be an elite point guard.

i personally dont give a shit who they play for in college as long as they help the team. so calm the fuck down.

when are we gonna get a coach to develop some stability within the organization? If they do hire Brown, he'll be gone in 2-3 seasons. Jordan is just further proving that he is lackluster in the front office.

^and the Mays

and while I really like Larry Brown as a coach, I don't see him as the right choice for this team. They'd be better off looking for someone who will stick around for longer than a couple of years.

Brown doesn't ever coach anywhere for too long, but he certainly gets teams going in the right direction...considering Ham Biscuit lasted one year, 3-4 from Larry Brown sounds pretty longterm!

i dont like larry brown, but if he could turn the team around and get em in the playoffs within a year or two and then bolts, he will have done far more good than getting an assistant that would stay for 5+ years and struggle to get the 7th-8th seed.

Doyel's Dribbles

http://gregg-doyel.blogs.sportsline.com/mcc/blogs/entry/5881996/8009914

Quote :
"

This way, the NBA can be rid of two knuckleheads in one move.

It would take some time, yes, but after one year of Larry Brown, the city of Charlotte -- not to mention Michael Jordan's superiors with the Bobcats, assuming he has any -- would be ready to run both of them out of town.

For Brown, who gives a half-day's work for a week's pay, it would certainly be the last time any NBA executive would be stupid enough to hire him. For Jordan, it would certainly be the last time any NBA franchise would be stupid enough to give him control of its basketball operations.

Jordan was a great player, probably the greatest ever. But the only executive worse than him has been Isiah Thomas ... who happens to be the last executive to think hiring Brown was a good idea. How did that turn out for the Knicks? And for Isiah?

See, Brown isn't a great hire. He's a franchise-killer. He doesn't get along with anybody but the owner, because he knows whose butt to kiss (see: his relationship with Dean Smith.) Everybody else gets alienated by Brown, a one-man plague of locusts who then moves on to the next city. But Jordan somehow is thought to be considering hiring Brown, probably because Dean the UNC don says it must be so.

After this debacle, if it happens, there won't be a next NBA city. Not for Brown. Not for Jordan.

So please make this hire, MJ. Hire Larry Brown, and do it fast.

I'm beyond sick of both of you.
