Cultural misappropriation.
Just like transgenderism and transracialism and transspeciesism.
Those born "that way" don't want to be "that way" so they culturally/sexually/racially/specially become "that way." 11/29/2017 7:05:27 PM |

look, I love a good internet argument more than most, but despite the fact that I'm aware of PHC, I honestly don't have an opinion of the program one way or another because I don't think I've ever purposefully listened to it. I do remember the movie being boring as fuck though.
In short, I'm out. 11/29/2017 8:51:01 PM |

^ I never saw it either. It's probably because CNN knows I only view their site when looking for Russia-Gate bombshells or disaster-related updates. I go to CNN specifically for the doomsday headlines, not for actual news. I'm sure if we had the same cookies as HCH we'd see the same version of the site he sees whenever he goes to hate read it. 12/8/2017 3:56:31 PM |

i also like how they could only find 7 times they "botched" the news out of the tens of thousands of reports they covered
you can pretty much kill any fake news argument, especially when they try and point you to specific stories, just by simply asking for a statistically significant sample of fake/botched/bad reports 12/12/2017 10:58:40 AM |

In terms of consequences the NYT mistake of running the Trump campaign/Russia no contact story last year was more egregious and influential than any of those. Argument to be made that helped win him the election as the ridiculous email rehash was still going on.. 12/12/2017 11:04:46 AM |

i think that's more of a hindsight argument, though. and that type of argument cuts both ways because there have been some inaccurate reports against Trump as well. i guess my point is there is an earnest effort to report correctly and truthfully but it won't always be perfect. seizing on individual instances to try and make the case that all of the news is a fake, vendetta driven endeavor is bullshit 12/12/2017 11:15:20 AM |

Quote : | "Politico published a jaw-dropping, meticulously sourced investigative piece this week detailing how the Obama administration had secretly undermined US law enforcement agency efforts to shut down an international drug-trafficking ring run by the terror group Hezbollah. The effort was part of a wider push by the administration to placate Iran and ensure the signing of the nuclear deal.
Now swap out “Trump” for “Obama” and “Russia” for “Iran” and imagine the eruption these revelations would generate. Because, by any conceivable journalistic standard, this scandal should’ve triggered widespread coverage and been plastered on front pages across the country. By any historic standard, the scandal should elicit outrage regarding the corrosion of governing norms from pundits and editorial boards." |
Quote : | "Days after the news broke, in fact, neither NBC News, ABC News nor CBS News — whose shows can boast a collective 20 million viewers — had been able to find the time to relay the story to its sizeable audiences. Other than Fox News, cable news largely ignored the revelations as well.
Most major newspapers, which have been sanctimoniously patting themselves on the back for the past year, couldn’t shoehorn into their pages a story about potential collusion between the former president and a terror-supporting state." |

These are tweets. So obviously I see this on twitter.
But dont attack the source, try to focus on the context of each tweet. NYT thinks Fidel is a revolutionary, standing up to the oppressive US. While Monson's most notable act, in the NYT's slanted view, was his oppression of females and gays.
With so many additional characters at their disposal, you would think NYT could have been more balanced with Monson's obit.

I don't know about the Mormon, but I don't get what is inaccurate about the description of Castro or what it has to do with the Mormon guy. It also says he rebuffed women priests as the first notable thing. The only thing I see in common is their age.
Do you disagree with Castro being a revolutionary? 1/3/2018 4:57:08 PM |
