He needs to campaign in more places, where all the poor blacks are in the racist back-woods parts, to make sure they're motivated to go out and vote. 9/21/2008 1:31:38 PM |

(CNN) — Barack Obama is campaigning in Charlotte, North Carolina, this hour — a state that has voted Republican in several recent elections. But a recent CNN poll there suggests the race is extremely tight.
"We are going to have to work quickly in a bipartisan fashion to resolve this crisis to avert an even broader economic catastrophe," he said at the top of his remarks." |

I saw Obama when he was at Reynolds Coliseum. It was a long-ish wait in a line to watch him talk to TV cameras (it was still a good speech though). 9/24/2008 8:59:49 PM |

I have several family members that live in the Raleigh & Cary area now, and they saw him at the town hall meeting in Raleigh and got to shake his hand. But between launching his economics tours, and continuing to come back, a lot people around here are getting a first hand impression of him. There have been Obama Raleigh's on this side (where I live in Chapel Hill) of the triangle too that he has attended, and ones like where Arcade Fire & Superchunk played, so I think a lot of the triangle has been exposed to the campaign... so I can see why Greensboro makes sense. I think he did the eastern part of the state the time before last, and most recently he was in Charlotte. 9/24/2008 9:04:09 PM |

Barack Obama has a two-point advantage over John McCain in the traditionally Republican state of North Carolina.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the Tar Heel State shows Obama attracting 49% of the vote while McCain earns 47%." |
McCain's campaign is suspended, and Obama is coming back to NC this weekend. I think either him or Biden have been here every week this week.9/25/2008 1:45:46 PM |

BTW MSNBC.com has moved NC into Toss Up instead of McCain lean (along with ABCNEWS)
