I'm really interested to see how the first half shapes up...I can't remember being so unsure of what to think about a panthers team. Sure I've been totally wrong before, but I've always went into the season with a strong opinion one way or the other...I could see the seson going great, or terrible this year (although I think if they stay relatively healthy, they have a good shot at the playoffs).

Peter King predicts a breakout season for Matt Moore while Jerome Bettis predicts the top overall pick in next year's draft for the Panthers. King & Banks predict Fox leaves after the season in search of a bigger contract

i predict Fox trades away our entire 2012 draft for someone at UNC that sits out the entire season for a suspension

I'm not making any predictions, the stakes are high for the Giants to get off to a good start and they want revenge from last season...but honestly the Giants SHOULD win this game. Their defense is a million times better than it was last season, and they have the best WR combos in the NFL. The only weapon the Panthers have is the running game, but there is no way the Giants give up as many yards on the ground as they did last time around. The Giants D-Line is going to be punishing.

Go ahead and make your claims, but we'll see how it turns out. The Giants embarrassed the Cowboys in the first game of their new stadium, but I really don't think they will let it happen to them.

^^The D isn't perfect, but there is no denying that it is heavily improved. I think there is a lot of preassure on Kenny Phillips to show that the injury last season isn't going to have an effect on him this year. so I hope he really steps up. The secondary lost us more games than I care to reminisce, but they are looking pretty good now.

Between Smith, Nicks, Manningham, and now Cruz, Eli is going to be dangerous. The only concerns I have about this team are the old geezers still playing on the O-line, and the new punter (it is going to hurt to not have the golden foot of Jeff Feagles)

dweedle is dealing with a nasty bout of Chlamydia he picked up from a Mongolian transfer student at a bathhouse in Durham. I'm not sure he's going to be able to make the thread before gametime.

i gave dweedle's thread from last year a courtesy bump

needless to say, that thread had some good karma, as we gave the giants a nice exit from the old meadowlands stadium by giving the giants their worst home loss in history
