Every time someone scores on Luongo, an angel gets its wings. It was much more efficient than bell ringing.

would love a scoreless tie going in to OT

BUT

I, too, see Vancouver winning 2-1, with Timmy T winning the Conn Smyth

How often does a player on the losing team win the Conn Smythe?

I'd think it would be much higher than other sports, since they take the whole postseason into account

Conn Smythe has been awarded 45 times, five of those to a player on the losing team. The only non-goaltender to win it in a losing effort was Reggie Leach in '76. Leach scored 19 goals and 24 points in 16 games.

I think Giguere was the last... maybe Hextall before that?

It does not happen often.

Giguere '03, Hextall '87, then Roger Crozier and Glenn Hall in the '60s

I just hope for an awesome game.

Seeing as how I hate any Boston sports with almost all of my being, I'm hoping for a Vancouver 3-1 win.

Tim Thomas has made me a B's fan for this series. I'm going with a 3-2 Boston win.

You do understand - there are more american born players on Vancouver. (5, more then double Boston)

Does anybody know if a player gets a game misconduct, and their team wins the game...are they allowed to come back out and celebrate? Because I feel like the only way I'll enjoy watching either team win is if they are without a couple of their players. If the Bruins without Lucic or Marchand I'd be happy, and Vancouver winning without Burrows wouldn't upset me.

Overall, though, there are more guys on the Bruins that I want to see win, like Recchi, Seidenberg or Thomas. I just don't want to deal with my facebook feed blowing up from all of my friends talking about how great the Bruins are.

I'm sure they'll come back out regardless. They'd just won the Stanley Cup. If it costs them a game or two next year, I'm sure they could not give less of a fuck.

I don't know for certain with rules and facts... but my gut instinct tells me they come out after the hand shake and the other team clears the ice.

Yeah, I don't think anyone would stop them from coming back out if they won. That being said, I don't see anyone being stupid enough to get a misconduct in game 7 of the Final.

Also, this guy uploads all the game opening montages that HNIC runs. They make me wish I was Canadian sometimes. My favorites from the SCF are from games 1, 3, and 6 so far, but I'm sure tonight's opening and closing ones will be sick.

A simple misconduct would have no bearing on whether they could return as it is not an ejection.

Under the game misconduct rule, the definition of the penalty states that it is a suspension for the balance of the game. Nothing states that the player must report to the dressing room; in theory the player could serve the balance on the penalty bench.

A match penalty does explicitly state that a player must be ordered to the dressing room immediately.

There would be no penalizable offense if a player left the dressing room, save under a match, but obviously their actions would be scrutinized if something happened. (Which I doubt would ever take place)

The excitement in Boston right now is unreal. I am pumped for this game. 1 of 3 people were suited up at 5 while I was walking home from work.

So Bruins can play with 6 anytime they want? It's ridiculous. Reminds me of the blown call in 2009 when the Hurricanes played the Bruins and Thomas went to play an icing, they didn't wave it off and Boston scored on the ensuing faceoff. So frustrating. I don't want them to win on a BS play like that....

Yeah I wish I could see the slash. The Vancouver radio guy was pissed when the too many men happened. He didn't mention it after the goal, but it was definitely on my mind. Radio for the loss

Boston's bench is a bunch of babies, they complain about everything! They have no right after the treatment they've had this series. By Murphy's definition of the hit by Rome on Horton, Boychuk should've gotten 4 games as well. The injury as a result of interference (though not called) the fuck was never there... I don't care that he didn't get suspended, but the exact words he said, Boychuk should've gotten one.

the amount of non calls / non suspensions this team has gotten this season is an embarrassment to the league.
