Agreed. Even last year Vandy did decent in the UNC game in Raleigh. He altered shots from Zeller and Henson and played a nice role. He definitely could have gotten some minutes tonight.

^^^I don't think anyone was suggesting that Vandy was the difference in a W/L, or that we should burn his RS for this game. But Vandy's size would have definitely been helpful tonight.

^^ vs UNC last year Vandy was 2-3 with 3 blocks, the next game (vs GT) he was 4-4 and I seem to remember him having a few dunks and alley-oops. I'm pretty sure that's the game you're thinking of.

UNC hasn't played much better, and we couldn't play much worse. Our team was too amped up having not played in that big a game and it showed. We took way too many terrible shots and didn't go through normal shooting motion when we were open. I expect a much better game in Raleigh.

Goal 1 in the rematch will be to not let ferret get a double double in the first half.

Most embarassing game I've ever witnessed. We looked completely lost out there. Howell is worthless, CJ Leslie could not care less about this team.

We made 21 shots tonight, 9 of them were for three. We have no ability to score inside against Henson and Zeller. Ugh, awful

Our front line is just undersized plain and simple. Zeller and Henson's size just took our bigs right out of their game. We gotta learn that we can't just bull our way to the basket when we are giving up 4+ inches. That's where we gotta learn to hit the open J.

and thus, a post about stuff off the court because nothing interesting happened on the court
1) Their fans definitely bring wine and cheese into the upper deck, they were nice. they gave me some.
2) Their ushers have to encourage people to cheer. i was like .5 seconds late on trying to get a pic of one of them waving a towel. it was funny.
3) Carolina's own media department can't even spell their own players right. Stilman White was spelled Stillman White on the ribbon board in between the lower and upper decks when he checked in the game. We aren't the only department to make really bad screw ups.

Why is it UNC is guaranteed to be on their A-game against us? Its like they makr our games on the calendar each year. They shut the bed against FSU, maybe even occasionally Duke, give up open 3s all day and look disinterested/bored in every other game of the year but when they play us they are locked and loaded the #1 team in the nation.

Even when we beat them its because we played the best game of our lives to beat them on their good day. Knowing that it takes a perfect game to beat them, we consistently forget how to play basketball every time we step inside the dean dome. We forget how to rebound, pass and shoot. Tonight our shots were off by so much that they were going in.

Lorenzo brown looked like someone who had never played pg a day in his life and Howell/Leslie both played 6'5. We fucking outrebounded SyraFUCKINGcuse for damn sake so WHY CANT WE GET A REBOUND AGAINST UNC????

I'm not asking for a win or even to outrebound them but 2-1 rebounding? Has that ever happened in a real game?

I've seen plenty of bad games, but I guess with how well we've been playing recently I expected us to at least try to win this game. I went to the game with a bunch of UNC fans and was talking about how I thought we would lose, but the game would be competitive. Nope, if ol' Roy didnt call off the dogs mid-way through the 2nd half we wouldve lost by 40. We were absolutely awful in all aspects of the game

We looked flat even in the pre-game warmups. Also, CJ Leslie's overall body language is awful

I'm taking a deep breath and moving on. We just need to win the games we're supposed to win. Probably won't be favored against UVa but I still consider that a winnable game. Unfortunately, we were never supposed to and we were never going to win this game. The story will be the same when we go to Cameron and when UNC comes to Raleigh. I'm focusing on every other game on the schedule outside of those two.
