Clemson looks like they should be winning this game comfortably, but *shockingly* Dabo is being outcoached by Saban.

this game has been really entertaining. I don't really care too much who wins, I just hope that one team (presumably Clemson at this point) has a shot at a game-winning or game-tying drive at the end.

I'm mainly watching this game cause Dabo's wife makes me happy.

So, when Clemson wins this thing, how long will it be before I get to see Dabo's wife stand behind him while they do that field interview thingy?

Does the awards ceremony take a long time? Is there confetti?

If Clemson does indeed lose this game I feel kind of bad for their fans. It would be like if Dennis Smith Jr. comes in revitalizes NC State and leads us to our best season record wise since 1974 and we were to run into Calipari and a very good Kentucky team in the national championship game.

Oh I'd take a run to the national championship and lose in a heartbeat as well, especially given our lack of big time accomplishment in basketball since the end of the 80s. Just saying Alabama fans don't need anymore titles for awhile, same goes for UK in basketball. Clemson football fans and State basketball fans would live happy for the rest of their lives knowing that they saw another championship.

Wonder if Saban either retires or tries his hand at the NFL again. That would completely eliminate the SEC West domination (aside from the last 2 years) as the collegiate landscape continues to even out. So nice that the good old boys club has been exposed.

Saban just doesn't even seem like he cares about winning anymore. It's just like "eh OK, I got another one."

^^^ Better coach won.

Clemson gave up way too many huge plays on mental errors even though they might have looked better most of the game.

Those 3 blown coverages, leaving guys wide open for TDs proved doom. Dabo will be seeing that all night and offseason in his sleep.

4 of the last 7 years Bama has won it all. That is nuts. One team is carrying the sport essentially (let alone their division).

seems debatable, really. saban's the better coach and clemson was down one of the best CBs in the nation. was a pretty even game and i don't think there's much of a gap between the teams.

The guy's a genius. Any team would be lucky to have that mind on the sideline.

Watson was great but that pick he threw in the first half was huge. If that doesnt happen and they score a TD there Clemson may have run away with the game from there. That play kept Alabama in the game and that ballsy perfectly executed onside kick won it for them.

I think so. There was a HUGE disparity at the most important position...but Alabama had the better overall team and pulled it out because of that.

Clemson matched Bama on offense and defense (probably exceeded them on O), but lost due to SD Charger style special teams. Missed FG, onside kick recovery, and TD return. Sucks for Clemson, but they should be in the hunt again next year.

That FSU-Clemson game is essentially round 1 of the playoffs if both teams hold serve otherwise.
