anybody messed with passbook yet? seems cool. trying out some of the free test passes now buts seems a little pointless if companies don't offer passes for passbook.

runs a lot smoother on my 4...too bad ill only have it two more days.

i can already tell that the new maps app being predisposed to driving routes is going to bug me. its rendered it half as useful by eschewing public transportation and walking.

no, im sure it's great for driving, but as people complained when they first started showing iOS6 to the public, they completely left out non-driving options. Google is currently the kings of that. I wonder if Google will do their own Maps app. I'd download it.

Is anyone having an issue with Wi-Fi connectivity over the latest gen iPad after doing the iOS6 update?

Mine can access my Wi-Fi network, as can other apple devices in my house, including an iPhone 4 running 6. However, when I connect with the iPad, it connects, and the signal indicator shows up in the lefthand corner, but as soon as i navigate away to do anything else, it drops signal. this doesn't occur with my iPhone or any other device, and i can duplicate it continuously. If I connect to the network and do nothing else, it shows it connected for as long as I do nothing to leave the "choose network" menu under wifi. I've reset the device and forgotten and rejoined the network.

Not very awesome.

Nevermind. I had to "renew the lease" on my network.

that was literally like one of the first things that was said about iOS6, sparky. you can still access YouTube, and Google is introducing its own standalone version of the app, if it's not already currently available.

I ordered 2 phones at 3:15am on the 14th and they're still listed as Preparing for shipment on apple.com and I've got no email yet, but when I plug my phone numbers using that method I found out they're in the states and on track to get here on Friday. It was rumored that iOS6 will eliminate entering the password for free app downloads in the app store. Anyone have success with this?

Better than the $150 they charge at the Apple Store each time. Plus if you get the accidental Apple warranty it's a $50 deductible as well.

-Actually it looks like the only difference between the normal square trade 2 year warranty and the accidental Applecare 2 year warranty is square trade allows 4 $50 claims. Applecare only allows for 2 $50 claims.

I don't even find the Apple/Tom Tom maps as aesthetically pleasing as the google maps. That's personal preference, but I enjoyed the seamless functionality of the google maps app much more than I do having the Tom Tom enabled Apple maps. But, as previously stated, Google will probably introduce it as a standalone app eventually, as they've done with countless other services they offer.

By the way, mine shipped from Nashville, which is basically what happened the last few times I've purchased any iDevice at launch. The only time anything Apple has come direct from China is when I've ordered a notebook.

But it should be here by 3PM tomorrow according to UPS.

Still no shipping email.

Only email from AT&T I've had was at 7:15 am on 9/14 saying my order was made and that my phone will arrive on 9/21. They took away the pending charge from my CC but still no real charge.

Online it says back ordered with no estimated date but the phone system says it has been processed and sent to warehouse for shipping. Of course when I try to talk to a real person it just disconnects me every time.

I'm not getting it tomorrow or anytime soon I'm guessing. I can't even cancel it and walk across the street from work to the store tmw.

Bicycling is not included at all and public transit doesn't actually do anything; it just recommends other transit apps.
