seriously?? my SIL & her husband have had their 2 cats for the last 7-8 years and now they want suggestions on no-kill shelters to take them to bc they're having their 2nd kid and "can't give them the attention they need." that's bullshit. they're cats, not needy puppies. one of them stays outside all the time anyway.

The Goathouse Refuge in Pittsboro takes a lot of cats (don't know if they still do, but I saw some of their products for sale at the Carolina Tiger Rescue today so they must still be up and running). I had to refer people there sometimes back when I worked at a vet clinic in Carrboro and they were having trouble finding a cat a good home.

they're not needy, wanttositinyourlapdemandingattentionallthetime type cats either. especially the one that stays outside. the other one wants to go outside all the time anyway. they live in a cute little slow neighborhood nowhere near any major roads. i fostered kitties in college & volunteered w/ the spca & i've seen how long it can take to find older cats homes, if they ever do.

We have 3 cats, a dog, and a bird with 2 kids. The animal chores are just a part of our daily routines. Our son is actually old enough to help us with feeding and watering the critters.

I just don't understand why people take on the responsibility of an animal if they're going to pull a stunt like that. Would you put up your kid for adoption if you decided that your career was too demanding and you couldn't give them enough attention? Of course not. The damn cat didn't decide to live in your house, unless you are financially or physically (becoming handicapped or something) unable to care for the animal anymore, you should continue to be responsible for it

this whole going out every night for the past two weeks was DUMB...I am very sick of people right now...tomorrow I'm going to take the day for myself. As soon as church is over I am going to go home and be lazy. I'm going to sit around...do laundry...clean...just be all by myself. I don't care who I piss off but I need to take some time to myself...which leads me to my next point...


I am sick of being around negative people. I mean I know, we all have bad days and ever is allowed to complain about their bad day, but if EVERYTIME I see you, or I'm around you, or we hang out, and all you do is bitch and complain and fuss and have something going on that all you do is whine, I'm going to be fucking sick of it. It wears me out. Yes I get it, you like to hang out with me because I'm normally a happy go lucky person, and I will sit there and listen to your problems all day long...but seriously, I can only take so much of it.
But honestly...I didn't even wanna go out tonight, but she guilt tripped me into going out, then got pissed that I only had two beers, and that I wasn't in the mood to party...uggggggggg

And then someone else messaging me for the SOLE PURPOSE to insult me...saying what I do is boring. I can only have fun if I live in a big city. I'm sick of the same ole shit that you pull with me. Every time you talk to me I feel like I have to defend something about me. FUCK THAT...I am who I am. I like who I am, I like the things I do, I like my friends. I am okay with sitting on the beach all day long and doing nothing. I am okay with going to the same bars. IT IS YOUR OPINION that I live a boring life, I think I live a very fulfilling life and I enjoy it...so fuck off.

I honestly don't understand how people can go through life being negative all the fucking time.

Just take some time and smile, and find something good that has happened that day.

And on that note, I did have a lot of fun hanging out with another friend tonight...dinner and a movie...

Bad Teacher is a very funny movie just fyi.
